"Wanting" rarely equates to "getting" unless you have more choices and more individual freedom. I hope your request is honored HA, especially as time goes on, the ACA implodes, and we all line up like cattle to get the best health care government can provide.

But not for long, now that the government is in charge. Your choices will diminish as the feds gather all the decision making power to themselves. They know what's best for you. Relax and enjoy the feeling of having someone else decide what drugs you can or can't use for specific conditions. Even your doctor will have fewer choices.

Apparently you did NOT read the link for "Functional Medicine" and the doctors who PRACTICE
a "different" type of medicine....from my understanding, their practice does NOT include a
"middleman" (Insurance companies)....you PAY directly to your medical provider...NOT a "new"
concept. They provide a service and YOU pay for that service....government is NOT involved.

Trust me, I pay attention far more than the average Obamabot. I could devote every second of my waking hours paying attention to what this administration is doing to the health care system and it won't change how it works for me if my choices have been removed for me. If Obamacare limits the hospitals and doctors that are available, paying attention won't really matter much will it? If premiums and deductibles are too high, will paying attention help that situation for individuals? I don't understand your point when it comes to this law that Obama himself doesn't think he needs to enforce as written. I've been paying close attention to the now 35 different changes and delays in the ACA which is supposedly "the law of the land".

Sounds like a concierge doctor, and I'm sure if Obamacare hasn't gotten them under it's thumb yet, it's only a matter of time.

BECAUSE the Obamacare thread is AGAIN on the first page and I believe a rebuttal is required.

Well there is plenty of room on the Obamacare thread for rebuttals, but so far, there have been few willing to counter previous points (with facts anyway).

FORTY THREE pages of how f***ed up healthcare is BECAUSE of O.....is bordering on stupidity.

It was f***ed up BEFORE OBAMACARE.....and the reason for that?

A "ass backwards" approach to mitigating illness/health issues.....treat the SYMPTOM and NOT
the cause..... :smackshead:

THIS thread asks that you (collectively) attempt to view ANOTHER alternative......that the
PRESENT paradigm is poorly constructed and that there is a degree of SELF involvement (aka
responsibility)that is REQUIRED.....guess that's it in a"nutshell".......JMO

So how do you integrate this "alternative" into a government controlled health care system? That's where we are headed and you know it, less choice for the people traded for more government control (by a handful of people in Washington).

Maybe these genius architects of the ACA decided that the best way to get more "self involvement" was to make health care more expensive so personal responsibility is a necessity. That's kinda how they think about gas prices so probably the same kind of logic we have here.

And as for the 40+ pages of the ACA thread, the title is about "UPDATES", and as you should know, there have been many and they all show a more detailed picture of what was created. If you think some are not valid points or consequences, jump in and rebut them.
