Probably as many people "disenfranchised" as people who committed voter fraud. If you watch Al Sharpton today, I guarantee that claim will be made. Real evidence with solid facts will be nowhere in sight however.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
Really hard to say. But I think more people were apathetic about the choices and stayed home than were kept from voting. IIRC, Colorado increased voter totals compared to last midterm, but I think that is more due to the all-mail ballot this year.
I saw some voting districts only had a 30% turnout. You really think 70% of voters were turned away?
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
With all the hardships this country has gone through over our history, depression, wars, droughts, etc... can you imagine what our ancestors would think about this new "hardship" of getting to the voting booth with a free little card that has their picture on it? "We" are becoming such a weak and pathetic population in so many ways. But whatever excuse is needed to further divide us, so be it.

On the voter fraud issue, I have yet to see demonstrable and/or valid proof it really is an issue. Can you provide some? I'd really like to see it.

I agree with the apathy aspect. And, no, I don't think 70% of voters were turned away. What gave you that idea?

There are many who would argue the "free" part of an ID card.

Every state that requires an ID also includes a free ID for anyone who wants one but can't afford the $5.
And speaking of IDs, is it possible to get health care under the ACA if you just walk into a medical center without legal proof of who you are? If you can manage that function, you are not disenfranchised.
