You're not going to admit that Trumps word salad, his multiple interviews where he rambles and loses focus, his inability to coherently answer questions is an obvious sign of dementia? Geezus, you are really reaching.

Actually I give all the presidents a break on verbal flubs. If you had the weight of the world on your shoulders and almost all your words were publicly broadcast, you would occasionally make mistakes. Trump does make it worse with his angry tweets, but those have been a double edged sword for him. He is able to communicate with Americans directly, without an antagonistic press selectively editing to slant his words.
Lately the leftist media refuses to broadcast the daily press conferences with the President. They say it is lies and they want instead to release selective edits that they can editorialize. Or they have noticed that Trumps popularity has risen with these daily press conferences so the Left wants to deny him this platform to educate Americans with what his administration is doing.

First of all, he stopped all the fights from China early on when other countries did not and our worthless media and Biden called him a zenophobe for doing it. Secondly, are you saying that another president could have prevented the massive spread in places like NYC when their commie mayor was saying people should just live their lives as normal. Any restrictions he would have forced early would have been criticized by people like you and you know it. The number of infected goes up as more tests are performed btw and you have ZERO clue how many are infected or have died in China and the rest of the world... or do you? If you do have this knowledge, please share your accurate sources.homeagain wrote:
WHY not evoke the act immediately...???? BECAUSE of his delay,we are NOW the first nation in the WORLD to have 100,000 confirmed cases.....what a tribute to his skill set....update 114,000.....NOW 116,000 almost....just within a matter of hours....watch what happens

None of the infected passengers were showing symptoms of the virus, triggering a debate between the State Department and the CDC. The State Department and a Trump administration health official wanted to send the passengers home on the chartered flight out of Japan anyway, the Post reported. CDC officials, however, warned against evacuating the infected, due to concerns over re-exposing healthy passengers to the virus. When State Department and administration officials decided to go through with the evacuation, the CDC's principal deputy director, Anne Schuchat, requested not to be included in the news release announcing the decision.

AND we hear that (bolded) over and over again...which in itself is not what the problem is.
THE PROBLEM is the king absolutely arrogant when he says'' it will be over soon, like a miracle'', it is nothing worry about...I have a hunch and I'm usually right...and on and on and on. DELAYING actually effective actions until it was OBVIOUS he was wrong....then we got
"I think it would be a beautiful thing to open up the country by EASTER...JUST A BEAUTIFUL THING" ( spreading his hands wide,as if he was offering a gift)......the absolute asinine acts
of contradiction...NOW he wants to quarantine states.,has NO IDEA WHAT THAT ACTION WILL BRING.....Gen.Honhree (raging Cajun) just was interviewed and state they did
war games, acting out scenarios of this and it was a disaster....the king is bouncing off walls,
with inane ideas....BRING IN THE RAGING CAJUN to get the job done right and with a sense
of the urgency.

ScienceChic wrote: Those who called the flight ban from China xenophobic were wrong, but it also wasn't a true ban so it wasn't nearly as effective as it could have been. US citizens were allowed to fly back, and from Italy as well, without being tested - that's how we got the first case in Colorado in Summit County.
Let's not forget that a Trump administration official overruled the CDC and allowed COVID-19 infected individuals to fly home on a plane with unaffected travelers, and without those travelers being informed until after the fact. A decision that prompted the CDC to request that they be removed from the press release about the decision as they objected to it. That was reckless and dumb.
DeBlasio is an asshole and should be raked over the coals for his decision to keep schools open as long as he did and not lock down the city. He got a lot of pushback, and rightly so, from Democrats as well.
The biggest failure here is that testing wasn't ramped up exponentially like it should've been done and our president kept downplaying the seriousness of this crisis because he didn't want to look bad. He didn't care about doing the right thing, he cared only about his re-election and poll numbers. Since then, his administration has bumbled getting the Strategic Stockpile out to states that requested items, he has continued to spout misinformation about the timeline of a vaccine and drug therapies, and he's attacked governors when he should be doing everything he can to allay fears and supporting efforts to address their states' needs. He isn't responsible for the virus, nor for many of the deaths we'll have because Americans live unhealthy lifestyles and have co-morbidities that they bring on themselves due to bad diet and lack of exercise, but many, many deaths will be on him and his administration for their terrible mishandling of this pandemic.
