You've already given up to the optimistic outcome. You think this is going to turn into a Mad Max movie, where people are openly violent to each other. You're advocating purchasing weapons in anticipation of violence.

Or, we could all buy guns and ammo and start shooting at each other over toilet paper.
Right now the trucks are still rolling and food keeps arriving. (Thanks truckers, stockers, and farmers!) But what happens if things break down? Whole Foods and Amazon workers are promising strikes. Nations are starting to hoard food. And some states have started to ban alcohol sales. What happens when daily drinkers finish what they have in stock? Will they burglarize their neighbors to feed their addiction? Plus the millions of unemployed for whom $1200 won't be enough?
