"Anti-fascist fascists."

That's priceless.

The Nazi's were the National Socialist Workers Party, were they? Just because you name yourself anti-fascist doesn't mean you are actually anti-fascist. Best example? Stalin was a noted Anti-Fascist but while in power, he was quite fascist. Killing millions more of his own citizens. Starving whole nations like Ukraine. Imprisoning in Gulags those who were willing to speak against communism.

I have nieces and nephews returning to college campuses in August and September. Knowing the way I was as a freshman, I have to think Covid outbreaks will happen all over the nation due to this. Hormonal teens without much sense will be unwilling to pass up crowded parties and sex. And for the young, the chance of death are close to one in a million from the Wuhan flu.

I have a friend here who has a college aged son who lives with his girlfriend. The son was diagnosed with covid but not the girlfriend. I'm not sure why some people don't seem to be susceptible to this virus.

Some people have better immune systems and can shrug off the virus? When we were first married, my wife worked with lots of people and she developed a strong immune system. Constantly able to fight off those pesky colds and other diseases, but since she retired at 50, and limited her social circle, she has become less resistant. I think this is one reason young people aren't dying from Covid-19. They have better immune systems, so are less likely to get it in the first place and if they do get it, they can fight it off better.
Due to this, I am worried about our seniors locked away. They are going to be much less resistant to not only the 'Rona but also the normal seasonal colds and influenza.

Bolivia throws in the towel. Bolivia, a poor nation, with lots of rural residents won't have a school year this year. Only urban residents have internet available to take classes so they are just going to automatically advance the children to the next level after the school year is over. In America, more school districts are starting the year online and plan to eventually get the kids back in the classroom. Many private schools are plunging ahead with in person learning. St. Anne's in Arvada has banners out trumpeting their decision. Wonder if that will increase or decrease attendance?

Bolivia will continue to be a third world country, educating only the "wealthy". Evo came to power on the backs of the uneducated poor and ruled for 20 yrs. Anez, a vice president was declared president because she promised a fair election in 2020. It will be interesting to see if that happens. Evo, by the way, fled to Argentina. The situation will be once again ripe for a demagogue. Perhaps Evo will make a comeback.

As to your second point, Montgomery County in Maryland, attempted to disallow private and parochial schools from opening up. The governor, Hogan, overruled the county, he said that the guidelines for school openings in MD have to be followed and in doing so the schools can open. What is interesting is that Montgomery County usually has 1200+ new students enroll in K-12 each year. Thus far the enrollment is approximately 300. Sounds like many parents are voting with their feet and heading for open schools for their children.

Cherry Creek Public Schools is ready to go with in class education this Fall. It will be interesting to see if they are able to remain open. CHSAA has said all Colorado High School Sports will be postponed until Spring semester. Playing football on snowy fields in February?
