You, the Dems, are still playing checkers against a grand master 4 dimensional chess player, our President. Good luck.

It's hilarious the permutations you go through to justify the criminal actions of this administration.

1. What someone sees. 2. What someone thinks they see. 3. What someone actually sees. Mathematically 1. does not necessarily equal 2. which may not equal 3. This is critical thinking and what I've been trying to get across all along.
Permutations! Where is the proof?

The silent majority will be silent no more.

Are you seriously suggesting that the speeches, the pardon, the naturalizations, were all done in a movie set? What about tonight? The grand stage that has been built on the south lawn - is that done in front of a Hollywood White House?
Do you also believe the earth is flat because you can't see the curvature? Do you also believe the holocaust was a Hollywood construct because you weren't there to witness it?

Remember, when you pull out a sword, it does have two edges. Expect Republicans to throw red flags anytime a Democrat does something similar.

You know, Fred, had Obama campaigned from the White House, I would have screamed just as loudly. Had John Kerry given a political speech at the DNC while he was Secretary of State, I would have complained just as much.

Breaking the law is breaking the law. Period. That it does not bother the conservatives on this forum is revealing your character.

No, it isn't. Every day millions of laws are being broken. The police let some of these people go with a warning because it is a minor violation. If we lived like you want, half our time would be spent in courtrooms.

Trivia: FDR gave his convention acceptance speeches on the radio from the White House. Should he have been removed from office during WWII because of this? See, this is a perfect example of letting sleeping dogs lie. Sure, it was a violation, but there were much more pressing concerns than holding an impeachment hearing in the House.

This is not a minor violation, Fred.

So doing a convention speech from the White House during a pandemic is considered illegal, but hinging money on firing a prosecutor who's investigating your son is ok. Giving a speech fro Jerusalem is bad, but co-opting the intelligence services into political weapons is fine. I just can't fathom how you can try to stand on principles when you turn a blind eye to everything your own party throws out there.

The Hatch Act prohibits all employees of the Executive Branch, except the president and the vice president, from engaging in partisan political activity. It also prohibits the president and the vice president from commanding any employee to work on behalf of any candidate. The purpose of the law is to make sure that officials cannot leverage the power of their office to enhance their own power.

The State Department prohibits anyone in the department from public political activity.

The State Department’s own legal memos says: "Senate-confirmed Presidential appointees may not even attend a political party convention.” That means the Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, who was confirmed by the Senate, was not to attend a political party convention, much less deliver a speech.

As par for course, you completely missed the point.

Actually, no. I understand your perspective. It's just wrong.

Pompeii May our May not have broken a rule. It’s right up there with jaywalking. Quid pro quo and an actual coup attempt actually rise to the level of hysteria that you seem to be reaching here. Get a grip.
