Verify his Muslim Beliefs

Here's more info on the subject:

While much has been made of a TIME Magazine poll (and a similar Pew poll) which showed that one in four Americans believe Barack Obama is a Muslim–and, as I noted, they are technically correct, under Islamic law–the coverage and liberal media ridicule of the poll respondents and their answers has largely skipped another part of the poll.

Sorry. Can't see videos here. Can you explain (without video) why it matters what his religion is?

For starters, the desire of Muslims to impose Sharia Law on America and their horrific treatment of women and minorities (August 4 Time Magazine cover). Honestly, I'm not sure what Obama's religion is, however I tend to believe he is Muslim. I see videos where he states his Christian faith and videos where he says "I'm one of them" (Muslim). Personally, I think he bends to shifting winds and whatever is politcally advantageous to his administration and his mission to "fundamentally change America". His words and actions obviously lean more toward the Muslims and the Islamic religion. Obama said he would stand with Muslims. So for me, that's why his religion is important.

Franklin Graham said it welll " “It seems as though Muslims are getting a pass. And you look at the violence that they have portrayed against women. It's just horrific. If you just take women alone … And I just don't understand why the president would be giving Islam a pass.

"We certainly love the Muslim people," Graham went on to say. "But that is not the faith of this country. And that is not the religion that built this nation. The people of the Christian faith and the Jewish faith are the ones who built America, and it is not Islam."

So, you think Obama is going to try to impose the Muslim religion on America? I think that he would have a difficult time doing that, seeing how there's a Constitution in the way. See how wonderful Freedom of Religion is?

Franklin Graham? Is that Billy Graham's son?

BTW - this is not a Christian nation. I don't care what Graham say, the Christian and Jewish faiths did not build this country. Americans built it.

No, I didn't say he would try to impose his Musiim religion on us, but that he would impose (or give the wink and a nod) to Sharia Law being imposed on America. All women should be terrified at the very prospect of this happening here in America and in other countries.

Yes - Franklin Graham is Billy Graham's son. What does that have to do with anything? I'm my father's daughter...

You are correct. American's built this nation. Like it or not, they built it based on Christian-Judeo values. Out of curiosity, what other foundation would you like to have seen our country built on? Socialist? Communist? Sharia Law? Just because you don't want to believe it, doesn't make it so. I don't want to believe Islamic terrorists flew airplanes into the Twin Towers, but that doesn't make it so.

From his own book, Audacity of Hope: "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

If it quackes likes a duck...blah blah blah

There's this thing in the Constitution that prevents religions from being imposed on the American people. Do you really have such little faith in the Constitution that you think a single President can become a religious dictator?

Just wondering. I respect Billy. Not so much his son.

I disagree.

I am unfamiliar with that quote from his book, but I'll bet it is taken out of context.

The bottom line is that even if Obama is a Muslim - WHICH I DOUBT - it means sh**. He cannot impose any type of religious law on anybody without violating the Constitution. You may not be old enough to remember the same tired arguments about Kennedy when he ran for President. People said he would be taking orders from the Pope.

Sorry to butt in, but Congress and those in Wash. have little faith in our constitution and do not care to follow it.

Oh I have faith in the Constitution. I also have faith that Obama is, as in his own words and actions, is on a destructive path to "fundamentally change America".

And yes, the last quote was taken out of context (see below).

But his religion still matters. Once again, I'm not saying he will impose HIS RELIGION - but will allow Sharia Law. The Imam said we're already "Sharia compliant". So we're well on our way!

Your disagreeing with how our nation was built doesn't change historical facts. I'll ask again, would you have preferred our Founding Fathers build this nation on Socialist, Communist, Sharia Law values??

The actual quote from the book is from page 261 and is as follows: "Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific reassurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

Now that the political winds are shifting against Christians, I wonder if he'll stand with them?

His religious beliefs matter.
