I’m watching this JD vs Walz debate, and if I turn down the volume and just watch the faces, there’s a massive difference. Walz had this weird wide eyed look and just looked desperate. Vance, in contrast, looked cool and collected and talked better than most on a teleprompter.
I think Vance just got a whole bunch more of the youth vote. I know the majority of you believe Harris is ahead… I respectfully disagree.
i WILL DISREGARD THE ABOVE and say I did not watch the debate,but understood that for the most part ,it was WHAT A DEBATE SHOULD BE...civil and chill. General consensus ...it was a tie.

Vance did not like being fact checked during the debate. In fact, he seemed surprised. I take that to mean that he thought he could lie and have no consequences.
Vance was caught in a conundrum - when asked if Trump won in 2020, he waffled. He knew that he could not admit that Trump lost, since Donald was watching, but he knew that Trump did lose. What to do, what to do.
Vance was slicker and slippery. It's easy to see why he won the Senate seat. He's smooth, but didn't really land any hits. Acted like one of those slimy guys that was supposed to have been drained from the swamp while Trump was prez.
Walz was initially nervous, but got more comfortable as the night went on. He came across as being more relatable and genuine.
It's interesting that he didn't want to be fact checked in real time. Vance knew that if he could just steamroll over the truth, people would believe his lies.

Thanks,HA, it’s been a rough couple of months. Watching someone you’ve loved and respected for years dying in slow motion is something I hope I never have to do again. We had some long talks about life and the meaning of it during his last days. Jim was laughing and joking during his last days of consciousness and I really believe he was looking forward to the end. His faith was strong and that made me envy him in a way. Right or wrong, believing you know where you will go after death has to be the greatest comfort.
As for “fact” checking, I’ve never seen any debates, other than ones hosted by the left wing media, in which the moderators inject themselves into the debate and only fact check one side. During the Trump Vs Harris debate, she told a lot of lies and was never fact checked.
Vance did a great job, regardless. I don’t think anything changes other than erasing the media’s false description of Vance. I don’t think Walz helped their ticket at all, especially after the obvious floundering about the China lie. Vance on the other hand did help Trump imo.
None of this will matter though, I think the election comes down to how people feel about the last 4 years. Those who hate Trump at a high level will vote for more of the same, no matter how bad our economy and crime get.
