I agree, Home Again. I cannot understand the MAGA mindset, how they cannot see what trump is or what he evokes in people.

I have a friend that used to be a liberal. She is now full blown MAGA, and I am convinced it is because of the COVID vaccines required by Jeffco Schools where she is a middle school teacher. She used to be a reasonable person, but is now convinced that the moon landings are fake, that chem trails are real, etc. It's just sad watching a reasonably intelligent person descend into that world of MAGA conspiracy. She now gets her news from X, Parlor, Rumble, Telegraph, breitbart, etc. and won't even look at any other news source.

She is currently parroting the MAGA meme that hurricane Helene victims are getting only $750 while we are sending money to Ukraine & Israel, but she won't look at real news sources to understand how FEMA works and what the victims will ultimately receive financially.

She won't even consider the blatant misogyny displayed by trump, the felony convictions, the fraud conviction, the charity embezzlement, the rape conviction, etc. She's so far gone that any discussion with her is fruitless.

She's brainwashed.

Which only makes me respect you more HA... you still see some opportunity for redemption. Good on you HA, you are kindred soul. You must understand with these MAGAt's, they don't want redemption, they want nothing more the regression of basic human rights and protections. They want a dictator. They want mass deportations of HUMAN's including those who ARE here legally. They embrace fascism as it soothes their weak minds and empty souls. They want a purge of non-white citizens. You don't seem to understand how many people are voting for Trump because of what we've seen and lived through over the last 4 years. Even Tim Walz says we can't do another 4 years of this nightmare.

Some people vote based on the person running, and others vote based on what the person running will do... that would be me. If you all enjoy the direction the country is going along with the wars that have broken out because of our weak leadership, that is your choice.

I do like the direction this country is headed - best economy in the world, low unemployment, interest rates dropping, recession avoided, etc.

I know that you see doom and gloom, but four more years of trump and his divisive politics and disastrous economic policies (think "tariffs" and how he doesn't understand them) would sink this country into economic ruin, just like he did before. Not to mention how he screws up any crisis, like the covid debacle and the dead bodies stored in freezer trucks. You want to go back to that crap? Wake up, Rick. Have you seen how many republicans have endorsed Harris, primarily because they realize what a mistake it would be to put trump back in the white house?

Can you honestly say, after criticizing Biden for his "dementia," and looking at the word fumbles from trump, that trump is actually fit for the office? Can you not see that trump is suffering from some sort of mental disease?

Even Mike Pence is not endorsing his former running mate. Mike was right there, watching trump fumble the duties of president. He saw first hand what a failure trump was. Can you not see?

It’s because of Trump alone, that NATO countries are finally paying closer to their “fair share”. If America was ever attacked by one of our many enemies, I highly doubt NATO would come to our rescue once they can’t even defend themselves without our help.
