Oh... And I'm on the same page with you about your form of atheism... Sounds exactly like where I'm at. "The thought of going to a place like Heaven, and seeing one's family, friends, pets (I want them to all be in the same Heaven) brings me peace"--and I hope it works like that, but I don't expect it.

If we all lived life like that on our own volition what a wonderful world this would be. Belief is a very personal journey. Ultimately what becomes important is whatever provides you with comfort and peace of mind. If that finds its roots in a belief in God, so be it. If it is a belief in the universe, so be it. If it is in the flow of energy that encompasses life may you be fulfilled. It does not matter, as long as you live your life being the best person that you can be.

Where does evil come from?

I've no idea. Never sought an answer for it. For me it simply exists in some just like goodness exists in some. Perhaps there is a genetic or chemical underpinning to it, much like there are chemical imbalances that engender addiction or disease. It seems to me to be an anomaly in life.

My father had a beautiful bass voice. He sang in gospel quartets over the years. I grew up with Gaither Quartet and love this version the the song.

Marshall Hall is great. This is hands down his best vocal. He wrote this with Bill's kid

Hey Teddy...I've been busy with celebrating birthday, graduation and Christmas the last couple of days so I'm behind on reading and replying to posts. I love this song!! I thought I knew all of the Gaither's songs but this is a new one for me. Thank you for posting it. I think it's perfect for this time of the year. So many lonely, hurting people need to know they are not alone. I think we have a little glimmer Teddy's heart of gold...
