Should the American Flag Be Banned -- in America?

I guess when there isn't an obvious "outrage of the day" for the right to pounce on they manufacture one......

Curious....has anyone ever heard a friend or neighbor say they wanted to outlaw the flag in the US? I haven't, and I can guarantee that all my friends are not conservatives.

Look at the national poll on the first page. Over 17% of people believe that it should not be flown.

We have had this conversation before and I know there were at least 3 or 4 who thought it caused safety issues for people and shouldn't be flown in certain places. This is America and that is bull!

I believe the issue at that time was students wearing american flags as clothing and flying flags in planned opposition/protest to Cinco de Mayo celebrations. Trying to incite in my opinion.

There was also an issue of a kid being forbidden to ride his bike to school with a flag on it. He was escorted later that week by a group of bikers, all with flags. That was truly AWESOME of the biker community, I must say.

Yes that was an amazing scene. But why can't kids wear American flags on their shirt to school in America?

One incident in one school whose principal was being stupid, and suddenly it's "kids can't wear flags on their shirt to school"....has this happened anywhere else? The right blasts liberals for seemingly tarring everyone with the same brush because of one person's actions, then you go and do it.

I looked back at my post on this and I don't think I ever mentioined liberals about the kids wearing flags to school. Why so defensive when it was never brought up?

Come on you frigging COWARDS, tell us your reasoning, we already know who you are anyway, you may as well make an attempt at justifying your vote.

It was always the women, and above all the young ones, who were the most bigoted adherents of the Party, the swallowers of slogans, the amateur spies and nosers−out of unorthodoxy

hey, you asked the question quoted above....I answered it that it was one incident, and where did you get the idea to ask such a question? It's like asking if you stopped hitting you wife, or signifacant other, or your friends....whatever. Your premise is wrong, so the question was pretty stupid dont ya think? You were tarring all the schools, not liberals, but you complain when you think we are tarring a whole group. You can be such a hypocrite.

Hey I stopped hitting my wife when I found she could outshoot me.
