In July of 2008 Oil was $147/barrel, did it actually fall that far by January 2009? I stand corrected, I had pulled up a chart that ended in the summer of 2008 and I thought it went through the end of 2008. Wow, the big drop must have been in anticipation of GW finally leaving office.
archer..you are funny tonight...What was the higest gas price in the US under George Bush? I don't remember it ever going over $4.00 over a period of time. Your liberal pals want it over $5 to $10 a gallon...you have a problem with that???

Of course she doesn't...she wants all of the taxes generated by oil company profits to pay for Obamacare.

A 6 week period in 2008, according to this report:
http://www.eia.doe.gov/petroleum/data_p ... story.html
Jun 16, 2008 - 4.007
Jun 23, 2008 - 4.002
Jun 30, 2008 - 4.027
Jul 07, 2008 - 4.051
Jul 14, 2008 - 4.054
Jul 21, 2008 - 4.005
(And those were the average weekly conventional gas prices, in some regions the prices were much higher and for longer, and higher for premium. The highest average for one region was $4.36). And Hawaii isn't included in this analysis, as far as I can tell, so the prices are under-rated. I'm pretty sure they were over $5/gallon.

I haven't seen anything documented that states what exact price liberals would like gas to be - have you? It would be nice to see gasoline prices reflect actual free market value, not the subsidized cost we pay thanks to billions in subsidies to energy companies.
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

Yeah I have a problem with that, it isn't true. You love manufacturing outrages that don't exist. Or do you have proof that my liberal pals want that? I thought not.
Here ya go..spin it archer..insert foot into mouth, your good at that :pop
This is my U.S. Senator, who will toe the party line, even at the expense of his constituents’ needs. He objects to a consent agreement which would allow emergency drilling on the outer continental shelf even when the price of gas reaches $10.00 per gallon. Salazar calls drilling a “phantom solution”.

The simple truth is that the president's environmental strategy is to drive gas prices to $10 a gallon, thereby forcing a shift to more costly alternative fuels and untested electric vehicles. Once the environmental left has its way, relatively few Americans will be driving around in souped-up golfcarts fueled by solar and wind power costing five times the price of coal-powered electricity, with the rest carless. The country will indeed be energy-independent, but at the cost of immobility and bankruptcy.
