The UAE considers itself a moderate country on this issue.
The don't hang, shoot, or behead gays. They set them up for hormone treatments.
If that doesn't work - well - it's in Allah's hands.
(it's possible the family will deal with this in a less diplomatic fashion - the UAE is an honor/shame culture
-- the family is the primary enforcer - so the punishment depends on the family's view of things).
