I have never heard a liberal refer to Obama as the messiah......I have never read anything written by a liberal that refers to him that way.....if you google Obama-messiah all you get are conservatives ranting about it. So I would say no liberals paint Obama as the messiah, but a whole lot of conservatives lie about it.

I would say it is not Obama who is dividing America like you "have never seen in your lifetime" but those who have an irrational hatred of him and will do anything to bring him down, even if it destroys our nation. Yep....that will certainly divide a nation.... as many middle class and low income citizens see the conservatives systematically destroy their hopes of having health insurance they can afford...their hopes that the government would cut spending equitably, not make the majority of cuts on the backs of those least able to afford it.....the hopes that their government would recognize that it is a government of the PEOPLE, not of the corporations and special interests...their hopes of having a nation that will support the very least of it's citizens, not throw them out on the street to save money......the hopes of people who are unemployed that their congresspeople would work on job creation, not be fixated on only one job, that of the president and bringing him down. Yep, you conservatives have most certainly divided this nation over the last two years, and now it is worse.

You've got that right. All of a sudden, Birthers arrive on the scene and Teabaggers come out of the woodwork. I'm sure its not about race though.....

I don't think it is about race....at least not primarily, it's all about loss of face and power.....they thought they could waltz McCain and Palin into the white house because all the liberals had was a one term senator who looked different (I'm not referring to color, Obama looks smart, and McCain and Palin didn't), who energized the young (conservtives don't much like the young unless they are religious), appealed to women (conservatives don't much like women either unless they are barefoot, pregnant, and in the kitchen) and who appealed to this nations hopes for the future. Conservatives, on the other hand, are all about going backwards.

They were made to look foolish by an aging McCain and his not-so-bright side kick, so now the country is going to pay for that embarrassment. The hatred that has spewed since the day that Obama was elected, and yes some of it IS racist hatred, but most of it is just hatred of themselves projected onto the one man they think brought down the once mighty GOP.......they can't hate themselves, so they hate Obama. What is funny, they point to this last election as a revival of the GOP.....but it really isn't....it is the coming of the tea party, and the GOP is dying. It will be interesting to see if the Tea Party can completely supplant the Republican Party, or if the infighting will bring them both down.

All I do know for sure is that while the conservatives fight over control of their party and exercise their hatred of Obama, our nation is going down in flames.
