House Votes to Dethrone Obama’s Czars

The liberal house of cards is falling down, and obama is not far behind!

The architect of a daring GOP attempt to strip congressional funding for nine executive branch “czars” says it’s only the first salvo in a much larger battle to reverse “radical policies” promulgated by the Obama administration.

“Under President Obama, we’ve seen a proliferation of czars,” Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., told Newsmax the day after the House passed his amendment to block spending any federal funds on nine czars, or “special presidential advisers.”

“These czars are implementing radical policies,” Scalise told Newsmax in the exclusive interview Friday. “They circumvented the accountability and scrutiny that goes with Senate confirmation, and that’s called for in the Constitution.”

“So if the president really wants to get into this debate, why doesn’t he just bring these czars in front of Senate confirmation and have them go through the normal process, if they’re going to be implementing that kind of cabinet-level power?

A quote I read today:

"Everyone who leads large masses of people and is excessively idolized by them must be vigorously opposed, however enlightened or holy he may be, irrespective of his office or profession. "

And do you really believe that we should have Czars with such power, without Senate Confirmation? Doesn't that give this President unprecedented power over the people?

Sometimes it is almost possible to feel sorry for a liberal. Almost.

I have no recollection of EVER feeling sorry for a liberal. Ever.

I love what the House is doing! Now maybe we'll see the "hope & change" we voted for in November!

another case of "we were OK with it when a Republican president did it, but we hate Obama so much that we will do whatever we can to make his term as president a failure" Which goes along with the case of "we are not here in congress to serve the people, we are here to bring down Obama. even if we bring down America in the process".

Gotta love those conservative values......it's all about party.

I'm not sure if I should answer that. Are you with the FBI or the Obama Administration by chance?

All kidding aside, I'm not sure if I believe the quote or not....but I found it as thought provoking at the moment I read it and still do. What do you think of it as you reflect on what's going on in America's political arena right now?

K'ang Yu-wei

K'ang Yu-wei (1858-1927) was one of the most prominent scholars of modern China, particularly famous for his radical reinterpretations of Confucianism and for his role as the Emperor's adviser during the abortive Hundred Days Reform movement of 1898.

In the late 19th century the helplessness of China in the face of the imperialist powers was becoming increasingly difficult to ignore. Chinese literati, who in midcentury had been supremely confident of the superiority of China's traditional ways, were becoming aware in the 1880s and 1890s that their nation's political institutions and economic system must be reformed if China were to avoid becoming a colony of the Europeans.

K'ang Yu-wei was born near Canton to a scholarly and locally prominent family on March 19, 1858. Like his father and grandfather, K'ang prepared for a bureaucratic career by studying the Confucian classics

This person was no dummy. Maybe we should stop for moment and think about his perspective before discarding him. Perhaps we can learn from the past.
