Anti-abortion bills advancing in several state legislatures appear to have a far better chance of passing than in past sessions -- a development that could further complicate the country's patchwork of local laws and create a scenario where more women search across state lines for certain abortion services.
Though most states have restrictions against late-term abortions, two states moved bills this week that would make those restrictions tighter. The Kansas Senate passed a bill Wednesday prohibiting most abortions after the 21st week of pregnancy. At the same time, the Idaho Senate backed a similar proposal with a 20-week threshold.
The bills were modeled after legislation passed last year in Nebraska premised on research suggesting a fetus is able to feel pain after 20 weeks. Similar proposals are percolating in at least nine other states, according to one organization's estimate.
Much as I can see the need for some women to have abortions, I have always been against late term abortion. I think the cut off should be 14 weeks. Or if the fetus is so deformed it couldn't survive.
How anyone could have an abortion after they feel it move around is beyond me. I do not believe in abortion and as much as I know that we cannot outlaw it. This arbitrary threshold is freaky as well.
For those of you that have no problem with abortion and almost advocate it. I was nearly aborted. Think about this. If I was nothing then and it was fine to throw me away, what am I now? Who are my children and who is the baby my daughter is carrying? The repercussions last for generations and as much as we cannot force others to not have an abortion think about how much influence you might have when speaking to a women contemplating an abortion. At that time, they are usually an emotional wreck. This is why I feel strongly about women having all the info they need in a non biased way when trying to decide to abort. The ones helping these women should be taking this undertaking as the most important decision of their life.
Think about this as well, I had no voice, I had no choice, I was helpless and someone else was making a decision on whether I would live or die. Just like helpless animals. Really think about this.
Like I say, if wombs had windows there would be no abortion. I object to the way some feel abortion is 'no big deal'. Think about it from all angles.

You need to pose these questions to the feminazis. And while you are reminding folks to "really think about this", maybe you should tell them to really think about it when they walk into the voting booth. Because if you vote pro union, pro green, pro welfare, pro animal rights, pro homo, pro public education, it also means you just voted pro abortion.
CG, I'm so glad you were born! :Cheer: I would love to give your mama a great big hug! What a brave and selfless woman she is! Oh to have more women like her! She chose to give you life so that you could be a blessing to your family and friends. I have no doubt you are a true blessing to her in many, many ways.
