Nope, nothing wrong, other than publishers who haven't caught on to the real world yet. Originally, I was going to post all 80+ books that I have on my Kindle, then I decided at the last minute to double-check what was available to actually lend first. Lo and behold, it was a grand total of 8 - 10% of my books. Totally sucks. I think it's ridiculous, in this digital age, that there are still publishers who don't offer their books digitally, and don't offer them for lending.
I saw a FB post recently that Amazon was going to revive their Lendle software - haven't checked into exactly what this is, but it might improve lending capability...

Amazon today announced Kindle Library Lending, a new feature launching later this year that will allow Kindle customers to borrow Kindle books from over 11,000 libraries in the United States. Kindle Library Lending will be available for all generations of Kindle devices and free Kindle reading apps.
Customers will be able to check out a Kindle book from their local library and start reading on any Kindle device or free Kindle app for Android, iPad, iPod touch, iPhone, PC, Mac, BlackBerry, or Windows Phone. If a Kindle book is checked out again or that book is purchased from Amazon, all of a customer's annotations and bookmarks will be preserved.
Kindle Library Lending will be available later this year for Kindle and free Kindle app users.

If you have not yet tried calibre (book management freeware), you may want to give it a try. Not only does it allow you to organize and coordinate your ebooks between your computer and Kindle, it also will convert books into different formats, and you can also subscribe (free) to many magazines and newspapers that can be transferred to your Kindle.

There are also "rumors" of plug ins for calibre that will allow the DRM to be stripped from most books so the books can then be converted into compatible formats and/or freely loaned to others. Only for the purposes of good however.
