I just moved from a much quieter area (own office) to a much busier area (own office). I think my biggest peeve is chatters. I try to be nice and I really do like the people I work with, I'm lucky. But move the freak on, I have work to do.
I wear flip flops to work. It seems most organizations are easing up on dress codes - I look at it as a benefit. I work at the VA hospital but I don't interact with patients and don't even work in the main hospital.

Come on, fess up, you really did switch the 'insert' and 'delete' keys on purpose, didn't you?

I was never a desk jockey...I worked outside for 25 years. I was the boss of an everchanging work crew of men.. I don't want to go into exactly what we did but it involved lifting weight, lifting weight all day everyday out in the hot sun. It was a dog eat dog world with very little pretense....almost prison like. Thats why I might seem a little rough around the edges to many of you, i'm the finished product of a hard envioroment.
