Another Major accident on 285

JEFFERSON COUNTY - A sheriff's deputy was seriously injured and another driver was killed when they were in a head-on accident near in Conifer on Wednesday night, forcing US 285 to shut down.

The Colorado State Patrol says it happened near Eagle Cliff just before 8:30 p.m. The road was closed in both directions and traffic was being diverted to Turkey Creek Road.

Disappointing... I have run out of words.......... seems our community is taking quite the hit lately.

This is horrible. I shake whenever I hear this. 285 scares me to death.

I am not scared of 285...I am scared of those folks who don't respect that long dark winding highway!

It is easy to make a mistake, let us not pre-judge anyone before the facts are known.
