I think Martin Ent has a good point...What did this guy have to live for? You lock a guy in a cage for how many ever years, then let him out and not expect him to hate society?

Our prisons are monster factories. People like that need help

He got on a bus, came across the country to Denver, bought propane canisters, and constructed a pipe bomb.

A lot of work to get back in the federal pen when he could have just walked into a bank anywhere and accomplished the same thing.

I think this is the first time I agreed with you. :woo hoo:

Looks like VL thinks he should not go to jail...just get some "help" and he'll be all fixed up rofllol

Yeah, I guess he's just a bad man, not at all like us. He's bad, were good!

What you tough talking republicans don't understand is that we are all in the same little boat together. CB, imagine being set adrift in the ocean in a row boat with 3 other guys. You bring 5 gallons of water with you, the other two guys don't bring any..You were smart enough to bring the water, it's your water, you own it. Now maybe i've had a little more life experience than most of you backwoods crackers because I would know right away that i'm either sharing the water, or i'm gonna die in about 2 days...

Same with this bomber, or poor people on walfare that you hate- I don't want to hug' em, I might even hate em, but I realize they were are in the same boat together and if we don't help em just a little bit, or feed em just a little food they'll kill us and take what we got. These "social" saftey nets we have in this country are as much for the "haves" as they are for the "have nots", and when you get a little more life experience you'll understand. I always say people are the same wherever you go, but people are dumber here in Colorado- They lack anything resembling street smarts.

This is just another example

Robbing a bank in GA would not get you to the executive suite in the Super Max we have here.
However planting a fake bomb might qualify, or better yet maybe he gets to go to Bellview where knitting and relaxing in the garden is better than being hungry in boulder.

Most americans would rather cage him for 60k a year for 25 years instead of helping the guy with a little rent and food money until he gets on his feet. They'll spend a fortune to punish, but not a dime to help....

Can not help people, that is Socialism and the right wing nuts would be against that.

Fool, "A hand-up, NOT a hand OUT!" We RIGHT-THINKERS do it, (without fan fare), you leftist think & talk about doing it, and demand others do something, (while you do nothing), to make ya feel better.

What you should do, being the loving liberal you are, is to create a foster home for serial criminals like this guy. You could have a whole bunch of new roommates that you could talk to about their problems and send them on a path of righteousness. Hell, you may even win a Nobel Prize for your courageous work (if you don't end up getting killed first).
