OBL is dead because of intel they got at Gitmo... But thanks for playing....

That is where it started, but they still needed the wiretapping laws to be able to listen in on the conversations of the courier.

Looks like Bush really knew what he was doing compared to our affirmative action president who was against both Gitmo and the Patriot act.

The Viking wrote: Then in the middle of last year, the courier had a telephone conversation with someone who was being monitored by U.S. intelligence, according to an American official , who like others interviewed for this story spoke only on condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive operation. The courier was located somewhere away from bin Laden's hideout when he had the discussion, but it was enough to help intelligence officials locate and watch him.

In August 2010, the courier unknowingly led authorities to a compound in the northeast Pakistani town of Abbottabad.

Bush was right again!!!! The wiretapping worked and eventually led to the death of Osama DESPITE all of you people who were against it. :woo hoo:

It doesn't matter what president was in office, any of them would have given the ok to take him out.

It was always the women, and above all the young ones, who were the most bigoted adherents of the Party, the swallowers of slogans, the amateur spies and nosers−out of unorthodoxy

It does when one is trying to take more credit than he deserves to ride it into the next election as a campaign issue when he campaigned against all of this last election.

Our rights are more important than our lives. Does that answer it? If you truly believe in what the United States represents, you would die to protect our rights.

So if someone told you that there is a chance someone may blow up your home and family but it could be prevented if the government was allowed to listen in to questionable people's phonecalls, which would you choose?
