Osama is dead because of Bush's wiretapping bill!

Then in the middle of last year, the courier had a telephone conversation with someone who was being monitored by U.S. intelligence, according to an American official , who like others interviewed for this story spoke only on condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive operation. The courier was located somewhere away from bin Laden's hideout when he had the discussion, but it was enough to help intelligence officials locate and watch him.

In August 2010, the courier unknowingly led authorities to a compound in the northeast Pakistani town of Abbottabad.

Bush was right again!!!! The wiretapping worked and eventually led to the death of Osama DESPITE all of you people who were against it. :woo hoo:

I love this line by the liberal media guy writing this story........

"The president had to evaluate the strength of that information, and then made what I believe was one of the most gutsiest calls of any president in recent memory."

Obama tapped two dozen members of the Navy's elite SEAL Team Six to carry out a raid with surgical accuracy.

Seriously??? THAT was the gutsiest call of any president in recent memory? Sending in two dozen Navy Seal team members to raid a compound? So when our generals and other military leaders do that on a weekly basis it means nothing? And all the other military actions in history including attacking nations and sending in hundreds of thousands of troops, pale in comparison to Obama telling 24 navy seals to raid a compound? Don't get me wrong, those men are true heroes of the utmost degree, but to say it was the gutsiest move of any president in memory is the stupidest line ever! The liberal media is a joke! And no one is pointing out that they would not have heard these phone calls without the wire taps.

So, you think it's a good thing to sacrifice your privacy if it means catching the bad guys?

What privacy? You really think you have privacy in anything? Obama is trying to tap into everything! Your credit cards, bank accounts, phone calls. And you really think that every email and post you make can't be read by someone? And I have nothing to hide. ANd the fact that they caught Osama through wiretapping is fantastic proof that it works and that Bush was right again.

You need a reality check. Either you can't read or you didn't read the link. It was through a wiretap and listening to a bin Laden's personal courier phone calls. You can spin it all you like but the facts are facts. The wiretap did it!

Well, of course it works, Viking. But that doesn't make it right that our privacy is being violated.

unless you have kids that are in danger from terrorists, and a wiretap could save their lives, would you oppose it then Kate?

Our rights are more important than our lives. Does that answer it? If you truly believe in what the United States represents, you would die to protect our rights.
