I can honestly say that I get sick to death of all the:
1) Liberal labeling and bashing.
2) All the Conservative labeling and bashing.
3) Both sides saying that the other one is hateful like they are so innocent.
4) So much antagonistic behavior on BOTH sides.
5) All this just because of someone's political beliefs????? Really???? That is sad.
6) There is so much more that makes us who we are than that, yet we fail to realize it.
7) A complete lack of patience, understanding, empathy, respect for one's differences, and general kindness.
Nymysys, it seems you totally got pissed at SC for hardly any reason. She was very nice and just said she liked those posts perhaps better than she likes the ones here. That's all. She never said she doesn't like you or wants to ban you (which they don't do). Lighten up for goodness sakes people. Life really is too short for this kind of behavior. Instead of focusing on what our differences are (like politics......like that is so important) let's look at what we have in common with our fellow neighbors instead.

I have never started an attack but have responded to attacks from LJ and Archer constantly and as far as I am concerned Soulshiner, if you want to clean up this forum or anywhere else, start with yourself and those who you seem so intent on protecting like LJ ( the HATE QUEEN) and Archer.
You don't start attacks, yet you post topics that you think will cause controversy? Some would consider your topics to be the first shot. It's called Trolling. It's like the guy who picks a fight and stands there saying, "C'mon, hit me!" so he can say he didn't swing first. As for "THE HATE QUEEN", she can't respond to you and some of the other posters personal and somewhat misogynic attacks, yet you can? Accept your guilt and she should accept hers for her words and I think you will find the level of respect for you and her might actually rise on here. And by the way, your screen name doesn't help to picture as a nice guy who just wants a little debate. It's more of a name of an self proclaimed enemy. A challenge.
Nmysys wrote: BTW the 12 items you read were a copy and paste tongue in cheek rebuttal of Liberals, but I din't post them on Pinecam as far as I remember or can find.
SC provided us with the link, so we don't have to go by your memory, just the record. Tongue in cheek or not, that was still a post that was more of a jab than a rebuttal. Again, it's called Trolling.
Nmysys wrote: Liberals on here are the whiners and since they can't argue the facts of the posts they have now turned to a new tact, looking back for something to pin all their hate on. I say you are hopeless.
It's hard to argue facts with people who don't have their facts straight and when they are called out on it , they start with personal attacks and name calling. Looking back is the act of holding people responsible for their words and actions. You need to look in the mirror and truly ask yourself if your words and attitudes on this message board have somewhat contributed to those attacks on you, which you invite really by your own admission of posting topics you know will get a rise out of certain people. Again, it's called Trolling.

I don't put much faith in the archives as people can go back and edit or delete comments. It makes for an imcomplete record of events and allows people to edit the dialog to suit their ends. If you go back and edit or delete comments you've made, it's dishonest and you shouldn't make them in the first place. We've all seen where people have challenged someone to find where they said something and it has been deleted, but were saved by someone else to bring up when they are asked for proof. It seems a bit off for people to insult people and call them names on line and then expect that when they meet face to face that it will become a hug fest. Should LadyJazzer just forget all of the name calling and insinuations of her sexual preference and take a group picture with those that slam her? Should Archer? Those two are subject to the most vicious of attacks on here.
Should anyone on here forget the awful and brutal personal attacks about themselves that have been posted by people that disagree with them? They should have never been posted in the first place.
If everyone wants to be a community of people that disagree yet get along, there are a few people on here that need to bring down their venom. They also need to stop the phishing. Posting things just to get a rise out of someone that disagrees with you so you can attack them is pretty weak as well.
You know, without heavy moderation, this board has descended into a drunken sh*t throwing match. Everyone has been allowed to have a forum without much supervision and let to our own devices, we have reverted to school boy insults and name calling. Not much to be proud of in my honest opinion.
Because it's easy to be "hard" when you sit behind a computer screen. Right? I'm somewhat guilty of it at times, but I can certainly recall more than a couple people on here that throw a lot of insults and would more than likely be a "Hey, how's it goin?" kinda person face to face. Just sayin. TOO MUCH TIME ON THE MAGIC BOX.

Here's something you might find interesting.
I don't keep track of who's male or female, because I really don't care. Some are obvious due to usernames, but if the username doesn't explicitly tell me, I assume nothing. I have no idea if you are a man or a woman, I have no idea what your skin color is. To me you are a collection of words on a screen - a thought. If I disagree with that thought, I'll post up and disagree. If you attack, I'll respond in kind.
I think some women might be put off by the responses they get on the internet. In face to face interactions, I treat women differently than men. I was rasied to be a gentleman, and if a woman is rude to me, I just put her in the 'bitch' category, keep my mouth shut and go on with life. But on the internet, if a woman is rude, and I'm not concerned with the sex of the author, they'll get what's coming.

I guess this might be an appropriate time to bring up the conversation that I am looking to buy a gun. I had a few before, but I got rid of them when my kids were younger. Now, I feel I'm ready again and I'm looking for ideas/suggestions (hand gun). :Whistle

It has been postulated on these forums many times that most, if not all, forum members post anonymously what they would not say "face to face". It is the wish of some that all forum members could meet and maybe tip a few. That is foolishness. There are some in the world who are just as abrasive in the flesh as they are in the pixel; maybe more so.
