Me I watched a classic this weekend. Gone with the wind. Great Directors are timeless.

Sorry but Towering inferno is not on my list but The way we were is. I cry everytime.

I only watched a minute of this but look- Two firemen get knocked cold by a ceiling panel. Ridiculous!

Apples and oranges, of course it was romanticized but the 2 movies are not comparable. Patton was a great movie regardless of your politics.

I'm not comparing the movies- I'm saying that it was good for 1970, but it's comical now, much like the Towering Inferno, the Posidan Adventure, or Billy Jack. Blockbusters in thier time, a joke now.

Dr. Strangelove is dated now too, but one of the best movies ever. Don't get your point.

Dr Strangelove, On the Waterfront, Gone With the Wind- All those movies stood the test of time. Patton didn't in my opinion.

Just a matter of opinion, I agree on the the other movies mentioned but would include Patton.

I have never seen Dr. Strangelove, Patton or ON the Waterfront. I just saw Butch Cassidy for the first time a couple years ago. I am embarrassed to admit. I still have never seen Casablanca either.

Lack of knowledge? Lack of watching movies. Different things. I have trouble being brain dead for long periods of time with nothing to do but look at the tv.

Thanks for the "bodily fluids" clip. One of my favorites.

Niether have I, and take my advice and scratch Patton off your Netflix list. If your anything like me you won't make it past his dreadful opening diatribe
