The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency expects to deport about 400,000 people this fiscal year, nearly 10 percent above the Bush administration's 2008 total and 25 percent more than were deported in 2007.
Woha! 10% above Bush's numbers? In 2008- they must mean the 2008 before the recession hit- back when our economy was still creating jobs. The circumstances have changed dramatically since 2008. In fact in 2008, I was on the other side of this issue. Things have changed.
So Obama has deported 10% more than Bush- 3,920 more illegals. Big whoop- that wouldn't even fill up 1/3 of Red Rocks at a Julio Iglesias concert.
400,000 deported is about 0.014% of the problem- in other words 99.986% of the problem remains unaddressed, and it sounds like half of the 0.014% were arrested doing other crimes! Come on LJ- they are not trying very hard to address this problem.

Yes until racist groups like La Raza play the race card. They play it daily against republicans and any sort of law enforcement.archer wrote:

The president already is....and isn't it the right that keep telling us that hispanics dislike illegals as much as anyone? Dealing with that issue might get more votes.

A new Gallup poll shows President Obama trailing a generic Republican challenger in a head-to-head contest, with 44 percent of respondents choosing the Republican and 39 percent opting to reelect the president.
