It's a long way away LJ. If Obama's dream team of morons can't figure out how to create jobs (not government jobs), the people would probably be willing to accept anyone other than the dumb@ss currently in charge.

When these illegals can't find a job, do you really think they will go back to Mexico or is it possible they will take more desperate measures for income which may not be legal? Being unemployed in the US has to be better than being unemployed in Mexico.
Anecdotal story here: When I was in Puerto Vallarta during Christmas, a lot of our servers had originally worked in the States but when the economy went south, they went home. If you are unemployed, Mexico is a cheaper place to live. And the Mexicans who learned English in the States were in demand to work in the resorts back home.
But good point about desperate measures, I could easily imagine the lure of the drug trade to those being forced back to Mexico or trying to find under the table jobs in the states.

My business is in the heart of the illegal Hispanic community and I have up close and personal experience with good people who you would have to drag kicking and screaming if they were forced to go back. As the economy crashes here, it will crash in Mexico as well since billions are sent back from people who work here. If I was from Mexico, I would stay here too, no matter what it took.
