Please consider how utterly reprobate that I would be if I did not try to grasp hold of higher ideals. I aim for higher goals than the vulgar so that I might better myself. If I didn't, I would most probably become a liberal.

You can order people to "shut the hell up" all day, but it isn't going to happen. You want a moderated forum where people get shut up.....I know one that would be perfect for you. jmc, if you read my posts with an angry emphasis, then they are quite rude. But if they are read as if a man were calmly speaking in a calm, reserved tone, then you would come closer to getting my feeling. I try to never get worked up with hatred (although I am not innocent of this trait).
I wish that my writing style could reflect my speaking demeanor, but I am not capable at my advanced age to have the vocabulary at my ready command. Sorry.
