Rick Perry will be our President in 2013

Perry called the BP oil spill last year an "act of god." Seriously? Not a man made disaster that could have been prevented?

Perry questioned whether the spill was “just an act of God that occurred” and said that any “politically driven” decisions could put the U.S. in further economic peril.

“From time to time there are going to be things that occur that are acts of God that cannot be prevented,” Perry said.

Perry chose to bypass the legislature and on Feb. 2, 2007, he issued an executive order making Texas the first state in the country requiring all sixth-grade girls to receive the three-shot vaccination series (which cost about $120 per shot). The move generated a fierce public debate. Conservatives slammed Perry for promoting what they saw as an intrusion by the state into private health decisions of parents and their children. Some also complained that the mandate would encourage promiscuity among teenagers.

Many doctors, including Bill Hinchey, the president of the Texas Medical Association at the time, questioned the wisdom of rushing to mandate a drug that had been on the market for less than a year.

Doesn't something like that bother you?

Again, you are only telling half the truth on this NON issue.

HPV vaccine
On February 2, 2007, Perry issued an executive order mandating that Texas girls receive HPV vaccine that protects against some strains of the human papilloma virus, a cause of cervical cancer. The order provided vaccination free of charge to those who were not covered by insurance. The order included an opt-out provision for parents

And then on May 9, 2007, Perry allowed a bill to go into law that would undo his executive order.

So it only lasted three months, and gave parents and opt out provision. After 27 years in public office that is the best that you can come up with? Remember, Obama was good friends with terrorists, (William Ayers) and had an America hating pastor for years that he went to and and no accomplishments to speak of and still got elected President.

What Viking is not telling you in all his rah-rah-sis-boom-bah cheerleading is that Perry's former chief of staff, Mike Toomey, was a lobbyist for Merck, which created Gardisil, at the time. The legislature later repealed his order. Conflict of interest? Payback to a friend?

Seriously? That is all you have? One executive order in 27 years?

Seriously? You're thinking that I'm looking for every piece of dirt on this guy and am posting it all here right now this very instant? Some of us point out a couple things about Perry, which are really quite minor, and you are starting to have a fit trying to defend your decision to support this guy.

Other people will investigate him now that he's in the ring and the dirt will come out. You have obviously decided - big time - that this is your guy and have jumped on the wagon, clinging to the sideboards for dear life. You're fun to watch.

FWIW, Viking, I doubt Perry will head the ticket. People are really gun shy about Governors from Texas, being how the last one was such a disappointment. I could see Perry in the number 2 slot, or on the cabinet.

Do you want to discuss his candidacy or not? Are you OK with what he did? It goes to what he might do in the White House, if he were to run and be elected president.

Did any other state governor mandate shots for young girls in their state? It's his attitude of "government knows better what's good for families than the families do" that bothers me.

I also don't like his connection with Bilderberg.

Are you OK with that, too?

You are hilarious how you view things. I am far from having a fit because there is nothing to defend yet. And I am not clinging to any sideboards, just found a candidate that has very little baggage and extreme success.

Perry will be a lot of fun.....what are the bets that the same people who bring up Obama's 57 states will never mention Perry's placing Juerez in America?

"There have been 34,000 Mexicans killed directly attributable to the drug wars. It is a very dangerous place." He continued, "Juarez is reported to be the most dangerous city in America."

Juarez is in America, just not in the United States. Check your map...

right....I'm sure that's what he meant.....NOT

If that was what he meant then why this?

After an aide pointed out the error, Perry clarified that Ciudad Juarez is not, in fact, in Texas, reports Politico.

I wonder why only 9% of Texas Republicans would support Rick Perry for president? Maybe they know something you don't?
