Like 70% of Americans think too much of our budget goes towards defense...Are we all trolls now?

It's my honest opinion-

Stiff all those lazy/stoned/drunk union workers, and give the jobs to folks that WANT to work.

The US currently spends 5% of GDP on defense, Europe, about 1%. It was down to 3% under Clinton and is currently planned to drop down to 4% in the coming years.

Personally I don't have a problem with this. I think the F-35 should be cancelled. The Economist just had an article on it, calling it the last manned fighter. And do we really need 12 carrier groups? How about 10 and put most of them near Asia to counter China and support anti-terrorism operations in Arab nations.

What you have to understand about the carrier battlegroups, other than they are the first thing called when all hell breaks loose, is that at anyone time, a couple of those carriers are in refit(shipyard) for repairs and up grades. So not all the carriers are avail all the time.

Hey..Wouldnt that go against the reason they were supposidly fighting? For our freedom of speech, thoughts and ideas? And the last time I checked Viet Nam was universally recognized as a big mistake. We were afraid that if South Viet Nam went communist, the entire region would- well guess what? We lost and the "domino effect" never happened. We were only there to keep markets open so we could keep selling Marlboro's, Coke Cola, and Jack Daniels in "Indo China"... We were there for corporate intersts, not because we cared about the South Vietnames being free. How could anybody believe that bullsh*t? Our government doesn't even care about us being free

Wake up NC, you were duped
