Hey..Wouldnt that go against the reason they were supposidly fighting? For our freedom of speech, thoughts and ideas? And the last time I checked Viet Nam was universally recognized as a big mistake. We were afraid that if South Viet Nam went communist, the entire region would- well guess what? We lost and the "domino effect" never happened. We were only there to keep markets open so we could keep selling Marlboro's, Coke Cola, and Jack Daniels in "Indo China"... We were there for corporate intersts, not because we cared about the South Vietnames being free. How could anybody believe that bullsh*t? Our government doesn't even care about us being free

Wake up NC, you were duped

Where do you get your info, la la land? Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia went communist and Thailand fought a decades long war against the communists.

While Vietnam was a debacle, there are tens of millions of South Koreans who are very happy we stopped the hordes of Chicoms and North Koreans from taking over the penisula.

Yup.

And Johnson was very distraught at the Nam thing. He went to his grave regretting every minute of it.

Yeah- Better wages, more vacation time, unlimited sick time, free healthcare, flex schedules, better work enviroment and they are dominating the industry. I guess a high standard of living is one of those unfortunate by products of socialism.
