And you have no problem with the Dems offering no specific solutions? How do you get anything done with no specifics? Face it, they just plan to attack the Republican's specific solutions, knowing all the time that tough choices need to be made. But they won't admit it.
The Dems held the House and Senate for two years. Were they specific about reducing the debt, defining a budget, or fixing Social Security or Medicare back then either?

:rofl :rofl
Paybacks are a bitch!!!!!
Where were you for the last 2 years when all the Republicans did was say no, they offered no alternatives, or propose any solutions, they just said no.........that post was just too funny.

Gee, all I get are Viking's emotions.
The Republicans have offered solutions, like them or not (and I'm not supporting them other than saying they have offered specifics). Read the Ryan plan (at least it's very specific). Look at what the House just passed (not that I'm supporting it either, haven't read about it enough yet).
So the Republicans have offered specifics.
Again, what specific proposals have the Dems offered for the budget, Social Security, or Medicare? It's clear you can't answer.
The democrats have given as many specifics as the Republicans......neither side like the other side's plans. The Democrats want to add revenue increases, like letting the tax cuts for the top 2% expire.....R's don't like that. The R's want to change medicare, medicaid and SS......D's don't like that. I haven't read all of the presidents plan for debt reduction, though I do know it called for reducing the deficit 4 trillion, the Republicans originally called for 1.5 trillion in deficit reduction but are now up to 2.5 trillion. This stuff all sits in committee until the two sides are reasonably sure they can pass a bill in both houses. At least that is what they normally do, the R's tried an end run with their cut, cap and balance bill....but that had no specifics....only that they would cut spending.....but on what is yet to be determined, and there was no indication of how to balance the budget, only that they will do it.
So both sides seem to be short on specifics and long on promises.
I leave out Ryan's plan.....that was one man's delusion that even his own party can't fully support and he had to know that the Dems would never let the congress decimate medicare, or medicaid, or for that matter SS.
Like it or not, the Ryan plan was a specific budget plan which was put to a vote by the House, where it passed. The Democrats have offered no budget plan in 2 1/2 years, not even when they controlled both houses.
The "Cut, Cap, and Balance" plan is also a specific plan put up for a vote, where it passed.
So how can you say the Republicans are short on specifics? What budget plans have the Democrats put up to a vote, even when they were in charge of the House? Throwing ideas out into the wind (trial balloons) and then backing off on them if they get a bad reaction is not a plan.
archer wrote: Of course they can't pass a budget.......the Republicans control the house and hold enough seats in the senate to filibuster.......Republicans don't want a budget, if they had a budget then they would have to abide by it.....it's much better to talk about cutting spending and balancing a budget than it is to actually have to do it.
Did you miss the great Obama budget that got voted down in the Senate 97-0 ? Man that guy has a big brain rofllol
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Pine, did you miss the plans? The Democrats have the big "Kick the can down the road" plan and the "get re-elected" plan. They are very specific and detailed and have been the same for the last 2 1/2 years.
If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2
Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.

Where were you from '08 to '10 when the Democrats had the House, Senate, and White House, spent more than TWICE as much as the Bush administration did, and demonstrated a complete lack of economic acumen? Demorats had complete control and failed miserably.

Cool....please tell me these specifics.....what are the specific spending cuts they propose, I had heard it only proposed that the Gov't cut spending, not what those cuts would be. And how do they plan to balance the budget? Are there specifics?
