....I had heard it only proposed that the Gov't cut spending...

Well, you first have to acknowledge that there is a problem, right? Don't worry Archer, its not going anywhere. You can keep spending and kicking cans!

If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2

Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.

Here is what I find so funny and hypocritical of Obama. Before this bill even passed and hte details were revealed, because it was a Republican plan, Obama said he would veto it. Not this gang of 6 is talking about another bill which isn't even close and has no details and Obama is excited for it to get through and pass. Even though he has no idea what is in it? He is CLUELESS! He just wants to vote for something because it isn't a Republican idea.

Kick it right up to 2012 and then the R's will take over the Senate too along with the White House!

Then why are 70% of Americans opposed to the Republican plan?

The Democrats have offered up a plan that would quickly reduce the deficit by a combination of enormous cuts in spending along with the closing of special interest tax loopholes and tax breaks that only benefit a small percentage of the uber-wealthy. The Republicans have refused to force their corporate overlords and super rich to pay their fair share and instead want to push the burden of those special interest tax breaks onto the backs of the elderly and poor.

This Cap, Crap and Kill Medicare plan of the Republicans simply would destroy the backbone of the country if it was allowed to go forward. The brilliant minds of the Republicans came up with the idea of capping spending at levels of 30 years ago, without taking into consideration that the number of those who are retired or retiring from the workforce has gone up dramatically.

Also, can you post a link to that Democrat bill or supposed plan and it's details? I never realized that they passed one.
