Are you suggesting we use the power of the federal government to withhold federal assistance and force parents to stay together? That's a great idea, abused women whould have to stay with their abusers because there would be no federal assistance for her and her children.......I'm sure that will promote family values. Man and women who feel that removing the children from an abusive household would have no assistance......mothers whose husbands abandon them, or men whose wives abandon them, would have no assistance, perhaps we can put the kids in orphanages?

I do have to wonder if you really think through your pronouncements PrintSmith.

Come now archer, are you trying to seriously suggest that the majority of single parent households result from the presence of physical abuse? That the lack of federal assistance would preclude the states or the counties from providing it instead? That without federal assistance there would not be any assistance at all? Have you truly that much faith in a central government and none in your fellow citizens?

Well PrintSmith....if the conservatives here are representative of my fellow citizens...then yes I would rather place my faith in a central government.

Thats the problem people can't think for themselves so we need alot of government to tell us what to do and how to do it. It's great just look at where we are now.

But wouldn't you agree that the upbringing by their parents is a factor in the type of decisions they make as adults?

Why do you hate our great nation so much?

It ain't the nation, it's the jack@$$es that think they know how to run it, politicians abound, no matter whether Dem or Rep, and yes, the social assistance needs to be cut off completely. See ya, don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya. No more. Enough. You know, since I'm on this subject, I had a friend tell me with a straight face that him and his ole lady were gonna have a kid to get the breaks on their taxes, and if they couldn't come up with the resources to take care of the child, "Oh, well we can always go on state or federal assistance." What a beauty. GF'd. Oh, and to try and use this fu**ing garbage to bash Palin? Give me a flippin' break, she's dumb enough without even opening her mouth. She shoulda stayed in Alaska and left well enough alone. Not backing anyone else here, just personal opinion by watching and listening to the dumb broad. State level was all she could handle, no more, and that's pushin it.

STDS needs some meds as it has no comprehension of what the F is going on in America. Or is to young to think for itself. I can see how we got here.

And once we were a Great Nation, now we are struggling to be a good 3rd world one, because it is Politically Correct to do so.
