Well said, Sunshine! And exactly the point of this thread before it started wandering!

So, I guess if a parent crusades about abstinence and the evils of premarital sex, and does such a lousy job of it that two of their kids, who obviously grew up in a pretty fundamentalist Christian environment, get knocked-up, (or knock someone else up), one could say that they did a pretty lousy job of being a parent...

At the very least one could say that if they can't be a better parent, then perhaps they should consider the hypocrisy of telling everyone else how to raise their kids...

I'm wondering LJ if you have raised a child to adulthood?

Do I need to have served in the military to have an opinion on military budgets? If so, there are an awful lot of people in the country would be excluded from being able to...

Yes, as a matter of fact, I was married for 5 years, and had two kids to raise from his previous marriage... The older one was 14 when I joined the family, and pushing 19 when we divorced.... Why? Does that also mean I can't have an opinion about Palin's hypocrisy unless I did?

Not at all. The point is that they turn out in surprising ways. I don't know one yet that has been a paper cut out of what the parents intended. Each individual owns his or her actions. After the kids are about 12 they will be making up their own minds. With luck you've instilled the values they need to be good people, but their definitions will likely differ from yours.

You didn't have em, you didn't raise em and 5 years was a loan no expereince there. Raise from birth. momma's are special and carry their children in their hearts for life. You cannot control them or make them do what you want, especially when they become adults.

And your fixation on Palin is ridiculous. It shows jealousy, and the fact that you cannot accept the fact that someone can make money, look good and have an opionion put on the national tube for all to see.
Not to mention that she is popular with alot of folks.
If you want why don't you start your own reality shoe.
The LJ , Righties are all Evil.

I am sure you would have a following and then people can get off on bashing you everytime they see something in the news.
