Nope. Obama, his miserably failed policies, and the Democrats refusal to balance the budget and quit spending.
-the asses own 90% of this one. It is obvious that the Tea Partiers were the only ones serious about dealing with the debt.
Demorats and Republicans balanced the budget in the 90's - Why can't they do it again? Nobody on the left seems interested, and Obama is displaying no leadership whatsoever.
AV- Bush administration spending was too much - Obama has more than DOUBLED what they were spending - and what has happened? What a disaster.
This is a problem on both sides. Blame game does nothing and the president doing it is terrifying especially in a speech. congress has him by the balls that is his fault and the fact that he has continued to show it over an over makes things worse. He looks weak and he is. The rep. are not going to roll over and spread their legs for him it seems so do something about it. If this had happened on Bush's watch you all would be screaming, but poor baby Obama has to deal with the republicans. Wah, wah. That is his fault because he is a weenie.
I couldn't watch the speech but if he finally called out that faction of Republicans who showed they cared more about their ideology than what might happen to the credit of the United States, I say it shows strength, not weakness.
You might not agree on his assessment of the situation, but "weak" would be just to keep going along pretending that the political shenanigans don't matter. They do. A lot. The climate of "take no prisoners" is calling our very ability to continue to function as a nation into doubt.

Uh, he cares more about his too. THat is my point, make some deals and get it done. :PacifyBaby: He is now baby Obama.

Can you point out a specific example of what you think was him "caring more about his too" in the deficit situation?
If Axelrod and Obama manage to convince America in November 2012 that the 9.2% unemployment is due to the TEA party, they will win the Nobel Propaganda Prize. (BTW, does the Nobel Prize people pull the Peace Prize for Obama for attacking Libya?)
Stimulus under Obama, Pelosi, & Reid, $250K per job and unemployment increases.
The Dems can solve the debt problem? Which is why they haven't submitted a budget in years?
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
Does anyone here believe it was the ratings change that is causing the current plummet, or that everyone finally realizes what a clueless leader we have?
