Obama's Martha Vinyard Vacation

Whatever. Great, poor Obama he can only vacation and has no money. Whether it is okay or not he did it knowing he would get flack and from a media stand point that tells me he is either stupid or stubborn. McCain would have played the game in some way I believe. It is funny how even this issue still crosses party lines on this forum. Dem or not he is an egotistical pr*ck. Bush got flack too. Clinton was a pr*ck too (in a different way). But the dems will defend to the end I guess.

It is also funny that when Rockstar Obama was elected there were pics of him in Hawaii with no shirt on and all the women wanted to screw him, now he played the game then, but he is in Martha's vineyard and the country is f**** and he does not seem to care. Whether he does or not, it is about looks. All I know is he is an idiot and does not know how or refuses to play the political game unless it is about trying to make republicans look like it is all their fault. Whether it is or not he is making himself look bad. Political suicide.

Any President needs vacation time due to the stresses and demands of the office, so too much is probably being made of this.

However, the timing of this is just really, really bad. The markets are struggling, economic issues need to be addressed (by him and Congress), and waiting until after Labor Day to reveal his new jobs plan makes him look detached.

lol It could be Martha's Vinyard is a working vacation, there are a lot of rich Democrat donors vacationing there. I bet he attends a couple fundraisers while in MV.

Vacationing in Branson, Missouri isn't likely to put him in contact with as many rich people.

It's not the vacation. It's WHERE he's taking it, IMO. Of course, Congress is also on vacation at this time and nobody talks about where they're going on vacation.

If he had gone someplace more ordinary for vacation, the same amount of money, or more, would have been spent securing the location. Getting upset about this is just stupid.

I doubt it. If he was on vacation in a rural area like "W"'s ranch, the Secret Service would have been able to find cheap lodging close by. I don't even want to guess at what the lodging bill for a Martha Vinyard bed and breakfast is for his security. Plus at peak vacation rates.

So now we need to take into consideration where a president will vacation when we vote....they need to own a ranch or some other piece of remote property. Extra points for those whose family own maga million dollar properties on the ocean. Gosh I'm learning so much about what makes a good president...apparently being independently wealthy with lots of properties to vacation at is number 1.
