An ad for medical marijuana got me to wondering just what percent of the members here actually use medical marijauna, so I thought I'd start a poll to find out.
I think most people will keep this to themselves. Regardless of if you have your card for honest medical reasons or are simply trying to avoid prosecution for using the herb recreationally, most people will fear ridicule by employers, neighbors etc.
It's kind of like having a poll to see how many use Viagra. The ones that are using it are probably happy with the results, but won't necessarily brag to their neighbor about it.
Perspective, I'd say you will find marijuana in 2 out of 5 Colorado households.

That may be just because of the "business" you are in. Or where you live. Judging from the people I know. I would say MAYBE 1 in 10.
Here is a question, I am curious about. Do you think now that there are "dispensaries", that it is the only place people are getting it now? Has anyone ever been turned down for a 'MM card'?

People get their marijuana for all kinds of sources. I'd say only half of Colorado s legal patients frequent dispensaries, the other 50% either have a caregiver, buy from other patients, grow themselves of buy black market marijuana, because their local government has banned marijuana businesses and cut off their access.
And yes, people have gotten turned down for their MMJ card. But I do believe the number is outrageously low. Maybe a few dozen for the 80000 approved.
uh, I am going by who I know. And you are in the business so if you go by who you know then there you go.

See how ridiculous this whole smoke in mirrors thing is the patients are giving it to people? Thanks for the info though. Interesting.

I didn't say anything about the general public buying from patients. Please, read my post.
I have not seen South Park lately, but I'm also not sure I would ever use a show like that to back up an argument in any case.
Why don't you clarify for the rest of us what happened in this particular episode?
