On Fox News, Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham had the best discussion on Sarah Palin I have seen. And Ann said something I have said. I, however, have not said it as well as Ann said it on Fox.
To paraphrase Ann, a lot of us fell in love with Sarah Palin because of her enemies and a lot of us have fallen out of love with Sarah Palin because of her fans.
For the past year, Palin fans have become an online fixture with more venom and insanity than the most rabid Ron Paul fan. They have not evangelized on behalf of Sarah Palin trying to lead people to Sarah Palin, they have freaked a lot of us out.
I am at the point of fearing that should Palin not get in the race we’re going to have a Hale Bopp moment with many of her most ardent supporters. These people have become too emotionally invested in one person to discuss that person rationally or even to address serious policy concerns.
For the longest time I wanted Sarah Palin to run.
At some point, I decided Sarah Palin could not defeat Barack Obama, but I’d rather go down fighting on Team Sarah than side with any of the guys who will just take us down the “big government conservative” path of creeping socialism.
Finally, I decided Sarah Palin was not going to run and I moved on. Ultimately, 2012 really is about beating Barack Obama, not what Sarah Palin will or will not do.
Unfortunately, as I found out and as others are starting to find out, moving on from Sarah Palin is like leaving Scientology.
Erick Erickson is the Editor-in-Chief of RedState.com, the preeminent right of center community online and is the most widely read right-of-center blog on Capitol Hill.
Unfortunately, as I found out and as others are starting to find out, moving on from Sarah Palin is like leaving Scientology.
There were also die hard Hillary supporters who had to suck it up and vote for the MAN with no experience, the man who was not elected based on his record, but because of his speeches, and for many, because of the pigmentatiion of his skin.
Palin did not get huge support from conservatives after her loss in 08, but the left media and people on this forum were infatuated with the idea that she who run and get smacked down....they didn't have much to cheer about with Obama, so they transferred their energy to Palin and the Bachman (another easy target being a woman).
So even though most conservatives didn't see her as a candidate that could win, she did help spread the right message and always had a packed audience (which had to help fuel the left's derangement over her).
So I'd just like to say thanks to Sarah for keeping liberals busy bashing her, while the real candidates went attack free for the most part and people like Perry were able to slide in and satisfy many Palin fans to an extent. Well done liberals!
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
Honestly I don't know very many Sarah Palin fans. The country has moved on. Why do you think Palin still hasn't entered the race? She doesn't have the donors nor the support. I fully expect her to support Gov. Perry as soon as they work out the details of the endorsement.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
Among all Republicans and GOP-leaning independents, Perry has edged ahead with 27 percent of the vote, followed by Romney with 22 percent, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin at 14 percent, Rep. Ron Paul (Tex.) with 8 percent and Bachmann at 6 percent.
So I'd just like to say thanks to Sarah for keeping liberals busy bashing her, while the real candidates went attack free for the most part and people like Perry were able to slide in and satisfy many Palin fans to an extent. Well done liberals!
Yes- thank you Wayne for all your concern about Sarah, you are so kind to keep her in your thoughts. The rest of us knew she was not running this time, it seems to be the left that has this obsession with her.
I don't know of any conservative all hung up about Sarah- only liberals. We knew her 15 minutes were about up, you all on the left just didn't listen!
Feint is a French term that entered English from the discipline of fencing. Feints are maneuvers designed to distract or mislead, done by giving the impression that a certain maneuver will take place, while in fact another, or even none, will. In military tactics and many types of combat, there are two types of feints: feint attacks and feint retreats.
Wayne undoubtedly has a severe crush on Sarah as he will dig daily to find some sort of information on her.
I heard he bought all the DVD's of her television show and has all her personal appearances on DVR.
What's really funny is that Palin could act like she's running every four years and the left will likely repeat their obsession. It's pretty ironic how the left has created on of the best weapons the right has
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
