Democrats should be happy then...right? Besides, the republicans have already rebutted his other speeches which are pretty much all the same anyway. I hope he actually gives specific details this time...that would be refreshing.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Will Odumbo increase the severity of the weather to create more construction jobs? If it wasn't for the droughts, floods, fires, tornadoes and hurricanes the actual job losses would be staggering.

The silent majority will be silent no more.

This reminds me of when Republicans wouldn't participate in the health care debate and then were screaming when it was passed.

I can sum up the speech for everyone-

Obama wants to spend another 300 billion.

That's prettty much it- why bother rebutting.

Not sure anything new can be said to rebut a speech which will most likely be the same ole' same ole'.

Who knows wayne, this may be the best thing in the world for Obama, if he actually has an idea. Maybe he will announce that the whole country is now a right to work country, and the economy will start booming again. It is funny...to guarantee he gets re-elected, he is going to have to do everything that is against the democrat platform.

Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!

Of course the Republicans won't offer a rebuttal since they have proven they do not have a clue about creating a jobs. Whatever happened to the focus on "jobs, jobs, jobs" they campaigned on last November, yet have not offered any legislation concerning increasing employment.

They (unlike you) understand that the government can't create squat. The government can only help to create a financial environment in which private enterprise has confidence enough in their future to create jobs.

They have, but it is all dead on arrival since the Senate remains in Dem hands. (And no, more infrastructure spending of money we don't have isn't a jobs plan, we are still at 9% unemployment with less than 60% of adults employed after spending a trillion dollars.)

Even the White House is backing off from this speech since it looks like Obama isn't even going to release his entire plan for jobs.
