Joe Arpaio is a racist. He describes his comparison to the Ku Klux Klan as "an honor." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFTUQ71Aq0o

The KKK is against immigration of any sort. http://ehistory.osu.edu/osu/mmh/clash/I ... -page1.htm Neo_nazis KKK is against immigration of any sort. http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/news/2 ... alifornia/ I'm against illegal immigration but I would never aline myself or ask for an endorsement from this very public and self-described bigot Arpaio.
If this is the sort of endorsement that Perry covets, then I would suspect Perry's moral compass is broke and anyone supporting him, with full awareness of Arpaio's positions, has revealed them self to be a bigot.

That is why Latino's support Perry more than any other candidate. They would know better than the very liberal 'Huffington Post' which you used above as a source.
Presidential candidate and Texas Gov. Rick Perry is taking heat from many in his own party for supporting a state policy giving in-state tuition rates to children of illegal immigrants.
But while this position may be seen as favorable for Latinos – a large majority of Texas’ illegal immigrants are Latino, with more than 60 percent of them hailing from Mexico alone, according to the Pew Hispanic Center – it hasn’t gained him much Latino support in his own state.
Almost two-thirds of Latino voters in Texas vote Democratic, and Latinos overwhelmingly vote against Perry, a Republican.
