Kate, the Bible is for individual action, not government action. Relying upon the government to do a good work for you negates any amount of compassion that might be attributed to you. It is the way that liberals can claim superiority without doing a damn thing.

I don't hate Christians, I just hate the hypocrisy they reveal when they don't practice what they preach. Why can't a porn star be a teacher? Aren't they forgiven?

I don't think I've stated that in this thread. This is about porn stars being teachers, which you think is a sign of moral decay in our society, to which I am asking "If Jesus can forgive prostitutes and socialize with them, why can't you forgive a porn star?"

Kate you need to read a little more critically. I have never stated that this was a sign of moral decay in our society. I said that a whore has very bad moral and psychological problems. A whore is a whore just as a liberal is a liberal.

A person can be forgiven if they ask for forgiveness. OK, say that this is done, but the proclivity to this behavior has been demostrated and only a fool would think that the personality of the person has changed. Why do recovered alcoholics stay away from beer joints? Because they have not changed, only their behavior has changed.

Forgiveness can be given whether asked for or not. I'm sure you understand that. Did Jesus have to wait for the prostitutes to be ask for forgiveness?

BTW - alcoholism has been classified a disease. To my knowledge, porn acting has not been classified as a disease. But then, I'm sure you knew that.
