Interesting, because everything I found shows conservatives to be ruled by the region that processes fear and tend toward the selfish sociopathic behavior I already know and understand so well.
While liberals make more use of the gray-matter that processes things like empathy and social skills. (Big surprise there...)
Anecdotal evidence of course, but I do know more people who have had their cars vandalized for right wing bumperstickers than left wing ones. Maybe it is just that lefties don't respect other people's property.

Of course it could be that NEITHER sweeping stereotype is accurate and both are just (mean?) ways of demonizing and belittling a whole group of people....
Oh yes- Leftism does indeed make you meaner. Liberalism has been shown in fact to be a disease- and it's side effects are well known.
It will make you meaner- and slowly close off the real world and encase you in a false world, where the afflicted begin to think they can change human nature. Instead of accepting reality for what it is- the sufferer begins to have illusions and hallucinations. They start thinking they can change the world by altering reality. They start thinking that the government has the answers to all of societies problems, and if we only had more government- everything would turn out all right. They start to have the hallucination that it's not necessary to defend our country and our way of life, they start believing the rest of the world when they say that we (Americans) are the cause of everyone elses problems- even though many of those people whining about us are from places that practice socialism.
Liberalism is the cause of the "helicopter mom" and the "feminist daddy". They start raising their kids in this fantasy reality, resulting in generations of "entitled" people. They think the world owe's them a good life, even though history can not show one single example where this occur's naturally. They advocate for teaching the history of homosexuality in grade school instead of the history of how and why the country was founded. They allow the school to indocturnate their children into believing that the government is the solution to all their problems- I even saw a "documentary film" they are showing kids in school today about why taxes are the greatest thing ever invented. Voting for Democrats will cause women to become "wicked witch Nancy Pelosi" like and men to become "Barney Frank" like. In bed- a liberal starts to get confused about sex- and the man starts acting like a woman, and vise-versa. After a short period of time- almost all liberals just stop having sex all together!
If you are a woman- Leftism will cause hair to grow on you're chest- and on a man the chest hair will go away. For women- hair will also grow out you're ears and you're voice will get lower like a man's voice. You will start to feel like you're growing man parts. Liberal men will find themselves wanting to go shopping at the mall more often, and their voices will start to squeak like a little girl. This is the result of their testicles getting smaller.
All and all it's bad news and bad policy- but the good news is that it's never too late to change you're ways. Start listening to Glen Beck and Rush Limbaugh for giudence, and switch away from watching CNN and MSNBC and Democracy Now and start listening to Fox News and Sean Hannity and maybe- just maybe you're liberal ways can change and you can be saved.
There are exceptions- pay no attention to people like Bob "get off my lawn" Dole and George Bush- they are really just Liberals in disguise- "country club republicans". If you really want to shake off and cure the liberal disease- you'll have to seek out real conservatives as mentors.
