Prevention I believe has been proven to be cost effective in lowering health care costs.....surely a birth control pill is cheaper than an abortion or a live birth, is it not?
You have an example of a State law which requires employers to purchase insurance which provides flu shots at no cost? Well, by all means, show it to us.........
Thus far no one has been able to come up with a State law which requires all employers to purchase insurance which covers reproductive services and contraception at no cost either, so don't feel bad if you can't fine one for flu shots.
Actually its federal, Medicare is mandated to cover flu shots...I was simply using it as an example of how prevention saves costs...something we liberals actually care about

Oh, how do you feel about the muslim issue?
Well I suppose that the federal government could require MediCare to pay for reproductive services and contraception as well if it wanted to - though I think the patients are for the most part well beyond needing those services. Guess it wouldn't be too surprising to find out that they did in fact mandate such things in the MediCare program given the general government's proven ability to waste revenue. What the federal government decides is federal policy for a federal program is not quite comparable to its ability to do the same for religious organizations, particularly when one considers that the flu for an elderly person is a bit more serious of a health risk for them than a normal pregnancy is for your average woman.
Is it less expensive to provide artificial birth control than it is to cover a pregnancy? I'm sure that it is, but the question then becomes whether or not you liberals are as interested in controlling certain segments of the population growth as Margaret Sanger was back in the early days of the "progressive" movement. Is that what is behind this push to hand out free birth control? Selective population control?

Catholics ARE NOT looking to "tailor laws to accommodate their religion". They just don't want Obama's new laws to force them to pay for something that does not fall in line with their beliefs. And Obama thinks we are all pretty stupid when he said that the birth control will be provided for FREE by the insurance companies... lol , really, free? He should also make insurance companies pay for dental since that's also very very important to our physical health...that could be free too :woo hoo: With all these new freebies, insurance companies should be fine with not raising rates to cover the costs.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
I don't believe in nuclear weapons, and delivery systems to use them... Why am I being forced to pay for something that does not fall in line with my beliefs?...(if that's the criteria)...

Because you have no guarantee in any of our founding documents of the separation of defense and state. (see thread topic "Obamacare Violates The Separation Of Church & State").
