Ok, that was back in 2008... Here's the companion video for the counter point:

So now it's 2012 and it's another election year. Are you better off than you were in 2008? How's that "hope and change" thing working out for you these days?

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus

Yes I am better off than I was in 2008, and it's working out pretty well. I'm certainly not going to change for the sake of change, especially considering the choices out there.

Good for you JSG, I suppose most of the rooms in your multiple homes around the world look like this:

Watch out for the OWS crowd though, if you made money over the last three years you are clearly part of the 1%.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

I'm certainly better off than I was in 2008...And given the contents of the current GOP clown-car, I'm not about to vote for change.

Even as a retiree I'm better off than I was in 2008... why would I want to change what works? I haven't heard anything from the Republicans that would make my life better, or the lives of my kids, or even the lives of most middle class Americans.

Is the country really better off with an extra 5 trillion in debt and another ten trillion projected for the next decade? Is anyone here good at math or understand what happens when debt payments continue to increase? You may all think you are all PERSONALLY better off, but you're not looking forward to what is coming, you are only looking short term, which is very naive.

Think about how secure your future would be if the company you worked for had more debt than it could pay off and it still continued to borrow anyway. How secure would your job really be?

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Yeah, it's a shame that Bush added $5 trillion to the debt, NOT counting the unfunded mandates of Medicare Part D, No-Child-Left-Behind, or the interest on the money borrowed to pay for the unfunded Iraq & Afghanistan Wars, and the unfunded Bush Tax Cuts...(The Gifts-That-Keep-On-Giving)...

Isn't it cute how the GOP keeps blaming Obama for the rising debt which still includes these Bush budget-busters that continue to add to the debt even after the Village Idiot left office 3 years ago. Too bad the tax-cuts didn't create any jobs in the 9 years they've been in place...

And in spite of all that, the economy is getting better; Obama has already created more jobs (that Bush destroyed) in 3 years than Bush created in 8 years; and the GOP mantra that "Obama made it worse" has been proven to be a total lie...

Jus' keep doin' what yer doin'......
