Bill, I think you are probably right, he survives and loves the attention. I've lost some respect though and think it has helped the Dems and hurts the Repubs. Its just dumb to bash women. It always amazes me when any Republican wins an election with all the stupid things they say and do.
This thread is actually a riot BTW, the staggering amount of misinformation and lack of understanding about healthcare/insurance and economics, etc. is just plain mind boggling. Makes sense though, most people have someone else pay the bills and have no clue. Good luck! Enjoy your free healthcare if you can!
If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2
Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.

Good to see Maher isn't a hypocrite even if Rush was rude to call Fluke a slut.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
Interesting...I remember when all of you conservative hypocrites screamed for Maher's head and insisted he be taken off tv for his comment about how cowardly lobbing cruise missiles from afar actually is...and now you're all champions of free speech? You two faced liars only believe in rights when they're YOUR rights, or when they conveniently serve your agenda.
By the way, y'all do realize there's an important difference between cable (private) tv and AM(public) radio airwaves, right?
PrintSmith wrote: One is a correction of a biological dysfunction and the other is the creation of a biological dysfunction Kate. No matter how you attempt to portray it, that is the bottom line of your argument - that insurance companies should be responsible for paying a portion of correcting a biological dysfunction and 100% of the cost for creating a biological dysfunction.
PS, you live in your alternate universe. welcome to your world? No thanks
By your Church logic if the man had a boner pill without wanting to conceive ,that is a sin.Sorry you are just a mindless hack for the catholic hierarchy. Try thinking for yourself.
You really ought to invest some time in familiarizing yourself with the canon and theology of the Catholic faith jmc - it might prevent you opening your mouth and confirming for everyone that you are a fool. There is more to the physical expression of love between husband and wife than procreation even in the minds of the Catholic hierarchy, a fact which you would be familiar with if you weren't such a religious bigot.
Tell me what is factually incorrect about what it is I am saying when I say that Viagra is used to correct a biological dysfunction and "The Pill", when used for contraceptive purposes alone, is used to create a biological dysfunction. That is nothing but a factual, and wholly accurate statement of reality. You might not like hearing it, but that does not affect the factual accuracy of the statement. And your response to hearing that wholly accurate and factual statement is to attack me as an individual for my religious beliefs. Who is really the hack between the two of us jmc. I address the position of my opponent in the discussion - not the person who is my opponent in the discussion. I make no statements of Kate's worth as a person based upon her position, only on the worth of her position.

I concur and I also believe that Rush's opinions aren't as powerful as some on the right think.
Rush did everything he could to trash Clinton when he was running the first and second times and he got elected anyway. Same with Obama the first time. He has a zero track record of changing a presidential election outcome.
Not beingh pregnant places a woman in a dysfunction state? Gee, goes to show, PrintSmith wants all us women barefoot and pregnant, according to his logic.

Then your memory is faulty and your assumptions flawed.

Seriously 2, is that the best gross mischaracterization of what was said that you can come up with? You usually do much better than that.
No, what was said is that the biologically dysfunctional condition created when hormones are taken solely for contraceptive reasons is sterility - which, as a woman, you would agree is a biological dysfunction instead of a function that would be expected in a woman who had passed through puberty and had yet to reach menopause.
Try discussion instead of blind partisan hyperbole - the discourse is much more civil as a result and we
all know how highly the left values and seeks to maintain a high degree of civility in political discourse, don't we?

I've stayed out of this, but please quote the "Conservative hypocrites screamed for Maher's head". Free speech is free speech. If people don't listen or watch they will leave. I don't scream for anyone to be taken off the air.
Airwaves aren't "public". Stations pay for them. If you buy your portion of they airwaves, they aren't "public".
Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!
