Ted Nugent - Motor(mouth) City MADman?

I understand disregarding the severity of Ted's statements by viewing them as metaphor, but the fact remains those ARE his words. "Metaphor" or "sarcasm" doesn't necessarilly appear as obvious if one reads a transcript of his comments. He said it - he should own it, but instead, he'll take the regular Nugent cowardly way out and laugh it off as a joke - knowing there are some who will believe his comments are inspirational.

What boggles my mind is why so many view this cowardly liar as someone to listen to in the first place. The guy has not earned anyone's respect, yet the right frequently props him up as some mascot for conservative values - he's a liar who dodged the draft - are dishonesty and cowardice modern conservative values?

The Dixie Chicks were banned from all Clear Channel media for saying they were embarrassed to be from the same state as Bush - think Clear Channel will ever ban Nugent's juvenile rock tunes?

The Dixie Chicks weren't banned by Clear Channel, the listeners of Clear Channel told them they didn't want to hear the Dixie Chicks.
If enough people call radio stations and ask them not to play Ted, they won't. Of course, I hear Ted on Fox News a lot more than I hear "Cat Scratch Fever" on my radio stations. So maybe they have already taken him off their playlist already.

Know who I would like to see banned, that pedophile Michael Jackson. I have to change the channel any time one of his songs starts playing. Disgusting.

Listening to the full context of what he said, it was clear all comments pertained to the voting booth.

maybe archer and lj can have their own party with the other ones from the conservative side that want to just fight and the rest of us can try to discuss things.

That is the kind of post that keeps widening the great divide here.

Take it to the ring!!!!

Just kidding.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease? Or the airtime?

Possibly why Americans feel the country is radically polarized is that the radicals on both sides get too much airtime in the 24 hour news cycle. 30 years ago, it is likely Ted Nugent's comments would have never been aired.

Yeah...I think they would have received airtime 30 years ago...because they would have been more unusual, I'm more surprised they get all this attention today. He is just one of many voices spouting hateful rhetoric. What makes him so special that we need to add him to the news for more than 30 seconds?

Ted is the man!

He's got 100% support from me- nothing he said is anywhere near as bad as what this corrupt administration is doing to what used to be America. If his words inspire more young people to vote against Obama - it's worth it.

Nugent is a libertarian- the same kind of libertarian that I am. No need to be politically correct- just tell it like it is- let the yellow belly commies deal with their own pain.

Nugent- like me- sees how this country is headed down the sh**ter. We won't be silent about it and we're not gonna sugar coat it for the moderates- the moderates are as much to blame as the left. Compromise has led us to the most corrupt government in history.

Ted Nugent is for limited, smaller government, anti-drug, pro-gun, pro-hunting, pro-constitution, pro-self sufficient, pro-free market and anti-welfare. We need him to keep on doing what he's doing- and Ted- kick it up a notch.

He is a great role model for today's kids, who have been indoctrinated by their schools and hippie parents into a self-entitled socialist attitude that will keep them down their entire lives. Nugent just might inspire some of these deadbeats to make somthing of themselves- to become good Americans. God knows they won't get it in school anymore.

And if the Secret Service comes around to grovel- tell um to shove it up their ass! That's what free people have a right to do in a free country- speak their mind. Free speech only exists in a few individuals anymore- Ted Nugent is one who can't be castrated by the left.

No way - no how. I like the "in your face" cocky attitude that Ted brings to the table- not for everyone but it works for Nugent.

Keep up the great work Mr. Nugent!

But a self admitted draft dodger and pedophile, not much of a hero in that.
