Gee, I wonder how much it cost to put Bush in a jet and land him on that carrier so he could give a speech in front of that "Mission Accomplished" sign? It's an OUTRAGE! Watching the Righties try to spin out of this is hysterical...
Must drive them nuts that Obama was able to do in 2-1/2 years what the Idiot Son couldn't do in 7 years.... (And do it WITHOUT torture and waterboarding...) Yeah, the VIDEO of Romney kind of blows the Romnesia that he's currently having with what he's saying now vs. what he said before...
CritiKalbILL wrote: I also agree with the way Bush talked about Bin Laden. He did not emphasize Bin Laden's importance, therefore lessening his status in the overall war on terrorism. AQ did not crumble when Bin Laden was killed...some people already knew that.
Bin Laden was the guy behind the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Who CARES about the "overall war on terrorism." Bin Laden had to pay for what he did. Obama made sure he finally did.
Bush did not emphasize bin Laden's importance for one reason only: he still hadn't gotten him after invading Afghanistan to do that and he grew tired of the questions about why not, just six months after 9/11.

The above video is six months after this one, where he vowed to find those responsible and bring them to justice:

So don't go marginalizing Obama because he was able to do what Bush couldn't do.
Today is the first anniversary of a great day in American history.
He downplayed Bin Laden's "importance" because he couldn't find his butt with both hands and a flashlight. When you can't DO the job, then you "downplay the importance."
Kind of like the response to Katrina... Just turn it into a photo-op, and downplay it.
One of W's chief torture guys was maintaining on Hannity's show last night that "enhanced interrogation" was useful in finding out where OBL was. Of course, he might not be the most objective source.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
Well, of course I would believe one of "W's chief torture guys"---on "Sean Hannity"... (When the Senators on the committee have already discredited that whole line of b.s.) SURE I would... rofllol
President Obama made the tough decision to go ahead with the operation. If it had failed and the Seals had died, it would have totally been hung around his neck and the responsibility for their death would have been called by the right as his and his alone. That is why he gets credit for the success of hunting down OBL. Not because he put his life on the line, it is because he put the SEALS lives on the line for something he considered to be important to all of us. A general never kills anyone, yet he is the one who gets the medals on his chest. A lot of you guys seem to have served in the Navy. When your ship was involved in an operation, did you feel like you were a part of it, even though you personally didn't pull the trigger? I think you did and you deserve the credit as much as the one guy who took the final action to make the mission successful.
OBL was found with a treasure trove of intel, but some of you are trying to say he was retired? Man, you guys will say ANYTHING to discredit President Obama. You whine about not being able to have civil debate, maybe one reason is the BS and sometimes outright lies that you post on here day after day. NOTHING President Obama does gets any positive reaction from you guys and because of that, the rest of us know that nothing ever will. You look in the dark corners of the internet for ANYTHING that you think will tarnish the President and try to present it as an "AH HA!" Even after these lies are debunked, you continue to try to slam President Obama. And you wonder why no one takes the stuff you post seriously.
Why don't you guys try to discuss issues instead of engaging in character assassination? All you ever do is try to rip President Obama down, even posting outright lies under the mentality that if they turn just ONE person, it was worth it. For all the whining about no one wanting to discuss thing in a civilized manner, you guys make it virtually impossible for anyone to take you seriously about it.

Arianna Huffington: President's bin Laden ad "despicable"... That's the bottom line. I didn't say it... a confirmed lefty said it. Simple.
