Arianna Huffington: President's bin Laden ad "despicable"

01 May 2012 16:53 #41 by LadyJazzer
Wow.. The outrage-of-the-day over the Bin Laden ad sure got quiet all of a sudden. I guess the GOP instant-response machine decided it wasn't a "winner", and that their attempts to attack him (and try to make everybody forget the Romney videos where he's on-record saying what he said), wasn't working too well.

Stay tuned for tomorrow's outrage-of-the-day where we see what they try to come up with that Mitt said, (that he didn't contradict before--or later). I did like the new Obama ad that targets Romney's only apparent link to "Foreign Policy"--his Swiss bank accounts, and his accounts in the Cayman Islands...

And the only worse outcome, politically speaking, would have been once it surfaced that he had a chance and refused to take it ala Clinton. That would have ended his political career more surely than a failed attempt might have. It really wasn't a tough decision when all the factors are put into proper perspective, was it.

Yes, it was... But nobody expected the usual righties to give him any credit for it.

Remind me again how well Bush did with making the decision to actually go after him, after promising he would after 9/11...? Another Bush "broken promise"?

There are 3 more pages of broken promises at that link.

He had two care-free years to get these item taken care of... all were campaign promises.

He did get Ben Laden and that was a good, very good.

This thread is not about credit due to Obama for the hit.

This thread is about his despicable use of the incident and turning it into a campaign ad.

Obama gave the order to get Bin Laden. He gets credit for that. He did a good thing.

Now one of his campaign people talked him into a really stupid campaign commercial that handles the subject in a very wrong way.

See LJ? No Bush, No Romney, no conservative or liberal crap - just credit and criticism where they're due. You ought to ty being rational sometime - it's nice and relaxing.

But.... What if I think 8 pages of it are bad things to have the federal government do?

Good point, more reasons not to vote for the dog meat gourmet.

Kidding! I could care less that he ate dog meat as a kid. But if he adds it to the menu for the next White House state dinner, he might just lose some votes.
