U.S. employers added only 80,000 jobs in June, a third straight month of weak hiring that shows the economy is struggling three years after the recession ended.
Yea, uh-huh, wait til it gets readjusted downward even more. Won't hear a word about it.

I heard on the News last night that in order to get down to even 6% unemployment we'd have to create 360,000 jobs a month for the next 3 years. :faint:

Well Obama single handedly "created" another 80k last month, so that's a start.... right?
Ok, hang on just one red second here, Barry is creating more jobs...
"In 2010, House Ways and Means Committee Republicans issued a report saying the IRS may need as many as 16,500 additional auditors, agents and other employees "to investigate and collect billions in new taxes from Americans."
How much longer before there are more Gubmnet employees than private sector jobs? Now not only can the Gubment look up you hind end at the airport, they can do it in Sawbones office, and now there will be even more IRS agents?! I can't help but thing that we are all about to get reamed...
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Hmmmm...OK, the conservatives want to make government smaller, cut funding or eliminate some departments, but think unemployment is too high. (which it is). So what do the conservatives plan to do with all the unemployed government workers they will create?
Well, let's see... If Gubment is smaller and more efficient then they need less revenue to operate. That would mean that the 99% would be able to keep more of their own money and do crazy things like start new businesses and invest in other companies that are succeeding. Imagine being able to pay off debts and not need to be as dependent on credit.
Or we could go the other way, everyone works for the Gubment and everyone in the 99% gets what the Gubment decides they should have. North Korea and Cuba are examples of how that model works.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

So far....the more money the 99% get...well....the more money they keep. Creating jobs doesn't seem to be a priority for them. Your ideal world of giving money to the wealthy so it will be used to create jobs and it trickles down to workers has never worked. What's your next option for all the unemployed government workers?Or is is it OK for unemployment to go up as long as it's just government workers?
