Hey CG, nice to see you posting in the courthouse again! Desperate is right, Obama is spending a lot of time here looking for votes. LOL

If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2

Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.

Obama is just down the highway from the headquarters of the Northern Command, in any case. You probably remember that's where Bush went as Katrina made landfall.

He settled into a middle ground in which he went politicking only after trying to make clear that public safety came first.

So he did what people might expect of a president.

He called governors in the region, got briefed by weather and security advisers, declared states of emergency before the storm hit to help speed the flow of aid.

Obama also knew the Republicans, having already lost one day of their convention to the storm, were not holding back. In a rousingly partisan scene in Tampa, Republican speakers ripped into Obama’s record, and delegates formally nominated Mitt Romney as the candidate to try to kick Obama out of office.

That gave the president political cover to campaign without reservation.

Why, thank you! LOL

You gotta remember, Obama ran an almost flawless campaign the first time. But really his biggest, smartest thing he did? He had the DNR at Mile High. That was brilliant because he won Colorado. Now he has to work for it. And now he has 4 years of nothing for a record. He did kill Bin Ladin without due process. I will give him that.

But do you remember his platform? Transparency. Change. Yeah, we got change alright. He just didn't say what that change was going to be.

Yeah, no convention has ever ripped into the standing president before. What was I thinking? He is entitled.
